Jansen Panettiere's friends knew "something was wrong" about him before they found him dead.
New details surrounding Panettiere's death surfaced amid the investigation into his passing. A new police report detailed the last moments of him until his body was discovered.
According to the document, Panettiere's pals found him unresponsive after he did not show up in a business meeting. They informed the investigators that they thought something might be wrong as he missed the scheduled discussion on Sunday.
One of his friends then personally tried checking on him and went to his apartment. The pal found him sitting upright in a chair but unresponsive, prompting them to call 911 as they started CPR.
Jansen Panettiere's cause of death remains unknown as of press time. But his and Hayden Panettiere's father, Skip, revealed that he sounded okay when he spoke with him on Saturday night.
Authorities declared that no foul play was suspected in his death. The final results from his autopsy and toxicology report that could help police determine the cause and manner of his death will not be available yet in the next few weeks.
Mental Illness Had Something To Do With Jansen Panettiere's Death?
After Panettiere's shocking passing, his art website's bio sparked buzz that he died of mental health-related issues as he revealed he experienced "terrible anxiety and depression" over the years. Still, he noted that painting helped him heal.
The same page revealed that he was having a tough time as an actor lately as he was "dragged in so many directions."
"After spending time in LA as an adult he was ridden with terrible anxiety and depression; this period in his life eventually produced a spiritual clarity that drove him to start painting his problems, one by one," the description reads. "With more than 50 pieces, Jansen continues to heal himself as well as others with his visceral and emotive work."
The bio did not detail what kind of stress he had went through prior to his passing. He last appeared on "Love and Love Not" before his death.
In the acting industry, Panettiere notably appeared in the Disney Channel original movie, "Tiger Cruise," alongside his singer sibling. He also starred in several flicks including "The Walking Dead," "Holly Hobbie and Friends: Surprise Party," "Racing Stripes," "Hope & Faith," "The Martial Arts Kids," and "How High 2."
