More details about Jansen Panettiere's death emerged as police's probe into the shocking event continues.
The Orangetown Police Department released a new report revealing that Hayden Panettiere's brother spoke to their father before his unexpected passing. Alan Lee "Skip" Panettiere went to the scene after learning about his son's death.
He told the investigators that he spoke to his son via telephone the night before his passing. At that time, Panettiere reportedly sounded okay.
It remains unknown what the father-son spoke over the telephone, but it was the last known time the late actor talked to someone before his body was found unresponsive on Monday.
Per the document, his friend, Benjamin Brown, visited his apartment in New York after he failed to attend a business meeting. They thought "something was wrong" about him because of the incident.
From there, he saw him in the place's living room "sitting upright in a chair unresponsive."
Although the 28-year-old was no longer breathing and already cold to touch, the pal performed CPR on him until the responders arrived in the area. EMTs, who went to the apartment, saw him lying on his back on the floor. They soon declared his death before transporting his body to the Rockland County morgue.
The test results that can reveal Jansen Panettiere's cause and manner of death are yet to be released. His autopsy and toxicology reports are also pending and will not be available yet in the next few weeks.
Police, however, clarified that no foul play was involved in his death.
