It looks like SZA's "SOS" has a formidable opponent on her way to securing her eleventh nonconsecutive week atop the Billboard 200 charts.
SZA's sophomore project has only left the summit once on its ninth total-week run on the Billboard 200 albums charts.
According to Hits Daily Double, SZA is in a tight battle with Karol G's "MAÑANA SERá BONITO," her most recent album. The outlet notes that based on mid-week projections, "Bonito" is only a few thousand units away from claiming the top spot, lynching "SOS" to No. 2.
"SOS" has recorded 83,900 units as of now, with 460 album units. As for "Bonito," it is currently on 81,000 units - expecting either a No. 1 or No. 2 podium finish.
"SOS" is in a serious battle, considering the album's large acclaim on social media because of the release of Karol G and Shakira's song and music video, "TQG," a diss track from their two exes, specifically Shakira's Gerard Pique.
However, "SOS" still stands a huge advantage as SZA is currently embarking on her "SOS" tour with Omar Apollo.
SZA is now heading to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for her next concert on Mar. 2, 2023.
