Iron Maiden is considered to be one of Britain's most iconic bands of all time and it appears that the group won't stop playing for their fans' delight in the next few years as explained by Steve Harris.

Speaking to Classic Rock, the bassist reveals the band's future plans after releasing their 2021 album "Senjutsu," saying they're currently focusing on touring as much as they can and despite their "semi-retirement," they could still drop new music in the future.

The musician further explained that they already surpassed their goal of making 15 albums and it's a "downhill" from there. However, the group still has the drive to produce more songs as they enjoy it, leading them to create their 17th record in 2021.

"We try not to think too much about that, but so long as everyone still enjoys what we do we'll keep on going as long as we can," he added. (via Shark 105.3)

Elsewhere in the conversation, the musician opened up about being asked how he continues to be a musician, and he noted that he doesn't think about it.

Although he admitted there will be a time in the future that he won't be able to do it, he doesn't consider it in the present and wanted to "get as much done while I still can."

"We're all getting older, that's what happens. All you can do is smile, drink a beer and remember the good times. There's no point in getting depressed. Life is to be celebrated," he added.

The musician also discussed what inspired the group in producing "Senjutsu," saying they instilled the idea of making the last album in their head which drove them to use some of the bigger ideas they've got.
