VIDEO: Jack White Covers Beck In San Francisco [WATCH]

Jack White had a special surprise for those in attendance at his San Francisco show on Friday night.

During the tail end of a 12-minute “Lazaretto,” White broke into the riff from Beck’s 90s hit “Devil’s Haircut.”

Stereogum points out that White and Beck have been in cohoots recently — they played a July show together in Providence, and White contributed a track to Beck’s Song Reader project.

White also used to play “Devil’s Haircut” when he was touring with Meg White as The White Stripes. Check out the new version below (skip to the 11:00 mark):

As previously reported, White was recently in the news for a new haircut. Our own Carolyn Menyes described it last week:

Taking a page from Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner, White is channeling old school rock 'n' roll with his new haircut, with long sideburns on his face and a piled up, greased up pompadour on the top of his head.

In typical White style, the photo also features him holding a guitar... if not, he'd probably be completely unrecognizable.

Check out the photo.
