John Lydon's band, Public Image Ltd., will release its first LP in eight years following the death of the frontman's wife, Nora Forster.
Public Image Ltd. confirmed the beginning of its UK and Europe tour years after it held its 40th-anniversary tour. Apart from the shows, the band is also set to release its new album after the 2015's "What The World Needs Now..." and the new LP will reportedly be dedicated to Nora Forster.
Public Image Ltd. Confirms Arrival of 1st Album in 8 Years
The post-punk band officially hyped fans with the announcement of its upcoming album, "End of World."
The new LP, which marks the band's first album in eight years, will be released on Aug. 11 via PiL Official/Cargo UK Distribution. It will also be dedicated to Lydon's wife, who passed away on April 6 following her long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Public Image Ltd. released the first song from the album, "Hawaii," in January. The band's official YouTube channel recently dropped the second track from the album, "Penge," which the frontman called a track "of a medieval Viking epic."

Lydon wrote it for his late wife and submitted it earlier this year in pursuit of representing Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest. However, Wild Youth's "We Are One" won the spot.
Instead of postponing the album's release, Lydon said Public Image Ltd. would push through its plans.
"Nora loved the album, she wouldn't have wanted us to postpone it or change any of our plans," the singer said.
The other tracks in the album include "Car Chase," "Being Stupid Again," "End of the World," "Walls," "Pretty Awful," "Strange," "Down on the Clown," "Dirty Murky Delight," "The Do That," "L F C F," and "North West Passage."
