Nick Cannon just gave Nicki Minaj her flowers as she hailed the Queen of Rap the greatest of all time regardless of gender and sex. The praises and compliments came days after Minaj set another record after her collaboration with Ice Spice hit No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
Cannon's comments came when he was asked who he sides on the Latto, and Nicki Minaj spat, to which he confidently proclaimed the latter. Minaj saw the video and reacted to Cannon's compliments.
Nick Cannon Hails Nicki Minaj The 'GOAT'
In a recent interview at The Bootleg Kev podcast, Cannon was honest about his feelings on who should be hailed the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) on HipHop.
When he was asked who he sides over one of Hip-hop's most popular feuds right now, Cannon sided with Minaj.
"First off all, let's not disrespect Nicki. Nicki is the G.O.A.T. whatever he gender is," the "The Masked Singer" host responded. "She is one of the coldest artists in the last decade. Like we can't sleep on her skill, her pen. [I mean] sonically, she changed the game."
Several publications have hailed Minaj as the best in the female rap game. In a Billboard listing, Minaj was listed as one of the Greatest Rappers of All Time, surpassing Kanye West.
Early 90s rappers also ranked lower, with Lil Kim at 31, Queen Latifah at 44, Lauryn Hill at 30, and Missy Elliot at 19. Cardi B and Latto weren't even on the list, two of the most compared rappers to Minaj.
Cannon also praised Minaj for owning the male-dominated "Monster" song, which went down to be one of Minaj's most iconic bars to date. As to who is the only artist one could compare to Nicki Minaj, Cannon, and Kev agreed that Lauryn Hill is the only worthy comparison for her.
Getting a hold of the now-viral clip, Nicki quoted it and replied with a heart hands emoji, expressing her love for Cannon.
