Vulvodynia Issue: Band Fires Duncan Bentley After Allegedly Trying to ‘Kill’ Group’s Drummer

There has been an issue within the South African death metal band Vulvodynia as they recently announced that their vocalist, Duncan Bentley, will not be a part of their group anymore after doing a shocking thing to his bandmate; what happened?

According to Loudwire, the musician allegedly "tried to kill" drummer Tom Hughes, leading him to get injured and hospitalized as seen on the photos the band posted online.

Taking to their official Facebook page, the band shared images of the injuries as well as a statement regarding what happened to their drummer after an alleged altercation with the vocalist.

"Due to recent events and recurring uncontrollable violence from Duncan Bentley. We can no longer have him in the band," they wrote.

The South Africa-based metal group said they have been considering on removing him from the lineup before they even began their ongoing tour, however, they had no choice but to continue because losing money would have been "too devastating for them."

Later in the post, the group shared more details about the alleged altercation, saying Bentley "threatened nand tried to kill" Tom Hughes, which led him to sustain "various injuries" including a "badly broken nose."

They further explained that the musician's behavior has been a recurring problem for a while now as this was not the first incident when he tried to attack the drummer.

The group initially thought that he was having alcohol problems, but they later realized that it was his true self.

"We will be continuing the tour without him. We are going to try make plans to get some friends who are vocalists to help us out on the way and still bring you the best show possible," they added.

Vulvodynia concluded the statement by warning fans to not trust Bentley as he is a "manipulator, psychopath, and compulsive liar." He also has access to their official Facebook account to delete posts.

Vulvodynia Tour Continues

In an update, the band shared a group photo of them together, but this time, Duncan Bentley was not around. Instead, he was replaced by their merch guy and Lacerated Enemy records' Zdenek for the vocals.

In the snap, Tom Hughes can be seen with bandages all over his face.
