S Club 7 Paul Cattermole's cause of death has been determined months after his passing.

A Dorset Coroner's Service spokesperson stated in May that Cattermole died from "natural causes" after he was found at his Dorset, England home on April 6. More details regarding the issue that led to his death have been revealed on his official death certificate.

The official copy of the 46-year-old star's death certificate, obtained by People, revealed that he died of multiple heart problems, including severe coronary artery atheroma and intraplaque hemorrhage, cardiac arrhythmia, and acute myocardial ischemia.

The first cause listed on the document occurs when fatty material or plaque, called atheroma, builds up in a person's arteries, according to Cleveland Clinic. It can eventually lead to coronary artery disease and other concerning diagnoses like heart attack, stroke, and peripheral artery disease.

Meanwhile, AHA Journals explains in one of its research articles that intraplaque hemorrhage happens due to the plaque buildup that narrows arteries.

Arrhythmia, according to the American Heart Association, refers to the issue in a person's heartbeat that affects the heart's capacity to pump blood. On the other hand, myocardial ischemia happens when the blood flow is reduced, keeping the heart from getting enough oxygen.

With the release of Cattermole's cause of death, a spokesperson for the coroner told the news outlet that the investigations into the singer's passing had officially concluded.

S Club 7 To Push Through Without Paul Cattermole, Hannah Spearritt

After Cattermole's death, S Club 7 released a video on Instagram confirming the departure of Spearritt from the group. Even after her exit and the other member's passing, the group said the remaining five members would still do its planned reunion.

"You've probably noticed that there's only five of us here today, and although Hannah will always be part of S Club 7 she won't be joining us on this tour," Jon Lee said. "We wish her all the best for the future. However, the five of us are really excited and geared up."

Lee will be joined by Jo O'Meara, Rachel Stevens, Bradley McIntosh, and Tina Barrett in the group's upcoming shows instead.

S Club 7 members did not share why Spearritt decided to leave the group, but Mirror reported that the member was "inconsolable" after Cattermole's death.
