In a shocking turn of events, Kellie Pickler's husband, Kyle Jacobs, has tragically taken his own life, causing her to vacate their Tennessee home where the incident occurred.

It was on February 17th that Kyle was discovered to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the couple's lavish $2.4 million estate while the former "American Idol" star had been asleep in the house.

Kellie was feeling panic when she awoke, not seeing her husband nearby. She and her assistant attempted to open the bedroom/office door upstairs but were unsuccessful. As soon as this happened, the assistant immediately contacted 911.

An inside source explained that Kellie blamed herself for not recognizing the clues before it was too late.

Unable to remain in the home any longer, she has been staying with friends instead, according to an insider who spoke to Radar Online.

At 49 years old, Kyle Jacobs' autopsy report indicated he had long struggled with alcohol abuse.

Specifically, it noted that his body displayed "chronic alcohol use" and other health issues, including pseudoseizures and gastrointestinal bleeding.

Ultimately, he suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head.

Contrary to expectations, tests revealed that the songwriter had not taken any illicit substances.

Surprisingly, it came out that Kellie was aware of her husband's fondness for champagne and whiskey.

In the wake of her recent departure from the Sirius XM radio show "The Highway," a source close to Kellie said she has been quite upset with herself. She has reportedly done nothing but sob and vents to her pals for company.

Sources have remarked that her heart is still broken despite her attempts to stay upbeat. As such, it has become "impossible" for the individual to maintain a cheerful disposition.

Kellie Pickler, Kyle Jacobs' Love Story

Kellie Pickler and Kyle Jacobs eagerly celebrated their union with a large wedding.

After two years together, they were determined to make it an event no one would forget.

However, before sending out the invitations, the Nashville-based couple had a change of heart.

Kellie discussed her elopement to Antigua on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in which she stated that it was daunting when they had to make the guest list. "Oh my God, I hate half these people," she said jokingly. Nothing personal, though!"

The couple decided on an intimate beach wedding, and all Kellie had to pack was a dress and an outfit for her husband-to-be.

"We totally just put faith in God that it was all going to work out, and it did, and it was the most incredible day of my life."

Kellie and Kyle had a positive relationship, featuring in two seasons of the CMT series "I Love Kellie Pickler."

They were also very involved in helping others, like supporting overseas U.S. troops - which was how they celebrated their honeymoon - and raising awareness for children with special needs. With this duo, there was always something new and exciting.

For many years, Kellie and Kyle had been involved with the Island Time Music Festival, and in 2021, it was their turn to host the event - and all for a good cause - to benefit the Little Yellow School House in Mexico.
