Michael Grimm is a singer who rosr to prominence after joining "America's Got Tlaent. He won the fifth season of the competition thanks to his spectacular singing and songwriting ability.
According to reports, his wife, Lucie Zolcerva-Grimm, took to social media to share rather upsetting news with his fans: the singer has been rushed to the hospital because of a severe unknown illness.
"I know you all love Michael and while I want to protect his privacy and his request to not disclose anything, we're kind of in a situation," she began in the video.
"You may have noticed that he was struggling with his health a lot, lacking energy and not being able to fulfill shows."
Apparently, Grimm's illness came to a head when the singer was supposed to perform during Memorial Day weekend when his illness took a turn.
Unknown Illness
Grimm's wife did no disclose exactly what is wreaking havoc to the singer's health, but she explained how "they still couldn't figure out what was going on with him."
On the day of his Memorial Day performance, Grimm "could barely walk, couldn't lift his head" and was reportedly becoming unresponsive, so they brought him to the hospital, thinking he was having a stroke.
It was not a stroke, Grimm's wife added, but the singer's illness was very peculiar as he "started talking gibberish and all of a sudden, physical tremors were setting in [and] his blood pressure was skyrocketing."
Michael Grimm's Health
As of this writing, the "America's Got Talent" alum remains in the hospital. He is heavily monitored and was put on a ventilator and was sedated.
"For the safety of his health, they had to put him on a ventilator and sedate him pretty heavily so that he wouldn't stroke out, so that he wouldn't flatline," his wife continued.
According to her, Grimm is still unconscious, and will have to under go physical therapy due to being bedridden.
On top of that, and perhaps the most devastating news of all, Grimm has reportedly lost his voice due to the ventilator and had to undergo coal cord repair.
"[He has to] get all his organs back up and all his muscles working again, mentally, he needs to come back from this and return to a state of health. So this may take a little time."
