Queen remains active as Brian May and Roger Taylor perform with several vocalists under the band's banner, with Adam Lambert as the latest frontman in the Queen + Adam Lambert project.
While the Mercury-fronted band still enjoys popularity due to its timeless songs, Deacon opted not to be part of it and retired from the music industry decades ago.

Even after retiring from the music industry, John Deacon's net worth remains at $180 million in 2023, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Why Did John Deacon Leave Queen?
After Mercury died in 1991, Deacon only performed twice with Queen: at the 1993 charity concert and in 1997 "The Show Must Go On" rendition with Elton John.
Following the latter concert, the bassist opted to pursue a private life away from the music industry's spotlight. Still, questions about why he left the Queen still linger among fans and how his absence gave Taylor and May a "turbulent time."
