While at her sold-out Las Vegas Residency concert last weekend, Kelly Clarkson warned her fans about throwing stuff at her while performing.

"If you're gonna throw s-t, throw diamonds," she quipped, sending everyone into laughter and cheer, before bursting into a song.

Clarkson's jokes came after the worrying trend in the music industry where artists become the target of unruly fans during live performances.

Meanwhile, Billboard noted that it wasn't the only joke that Clarkson made during her performance at the Bakkt Theatre in Planet Hollywood last weekend.

Responding to a female fan's declaration that her girlfriend gave her a pass on hooking up with the Grammy-winning singer, she had this to say: "Unfortunately, I like d-ks."

Fan Throwing Incidents in the Music Industry

The trend of fans throwing objects at singers during live performances started with Bebe Rexha when a fan threw her a cellphone in the face, landing on her left eye. She had to be stitched three times because of the injury. Similar incidents happened to Ava Max, Drake, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and Morgan Wallen, among many others.

Very recently, Cardi B was splashed with water mid-performance, she retaliated by throwing her microphone on the fan. She is now a subject of an ongoing Battery investigation in Las Vegas.
