Today, Tina Knowles dispelled the most recent diva-sized rumor regarding her daughter Beyonce.
Fans recently assumed that Beyonce brought her own personal toilet seats as part of her Renaissance tour package in order to avoid using public facilities after seeing an image of a black box labeled "Beyonce toilet seats."
The 69-year-old businesswoman called the toilet seat rumor "so ridiculous" to TMZ. She clarified that the in question viral black boxes were primarily utilized as chairs for audience members who sat on the corners of the stage.
That is only the name for the fan stands; the boxes in issue don't actually contain toilet seats.
The statement made by Beyonce's mum is in stark contrast to what a source told The Sun last week.
According to the insider, "[Beyonce's] team makes great effort to ensure she has her own comforts and a personal toilet seat happens to be one."
"Her tour roadies have seen everything so it's not a great deal for them, but it does raise a smile from people who happen to catch a glimpse of the branded container," the insider added.
Beyonce herself was either too busy or too indifferent to defend herself.
Leaving aside the allegation about the toilet seat, both admirers and detractors have lauded the craftsmanship of the Renaissance period. Even Oprah Winfrey, who was in the audience at one of Beyonce's tour dates, praised the Virgo's Groove singer's performance, calling her voice "otherworldly." Tina is keeping herself busy in her new life as a single woman while her daughter performs in front of thousands of people throughout the world.
Three weeks ago, she filed for divorce from Richard Lawson, her second husband. After eight years of marriage, the pair divorced, with the fashion designer citing irreconcilable differences as the cause.
According to People, Tina requested the court to change her name back to Celestine Knowles in addition to filing for divorce. Prior to divorcing him in 2011, she was previously married for 31 years to Mathew Knowles, the father of Beyonce and Solange.
Celebrities are showing out in droves for the latest round of world tours, with Beyoncé's Renaissance and Taylor Swift's Eras Tour generating as much attention for their audiences as they do for their performers.
Beyoncé's closest family and friends, as well as a number of other A-list celebrities, have been seen dancing to songs from Renaissance and previous albums.
Every night, Tina Lawson, a proud mother as always, has been shooting alongside the action and frequently posting videos to social media while dancing and singing with a different special someone.
