Takeoff may have passed away almost a year ago, but his legacy in music will continue to inspire future artists and generations to come, especially now that his musical partner, Quavo, dropped a new album which is a tribute to him.
According to Audacy, the rapper recently released his first album since his Migos co-member passed away. The latest project contains 18 tracks and every single one of them is a tribute to his old pal.
Titled "Rocket Power," the hip-hop artists celebrated the album's release in Times Square in New York City where he could be seen standing in front of a big LED billboard flashing visuals from his record.
"Embodied All My Emotions Tonight We Give It All To You! a VICTORY #RocketPocket Do It For The Rocket #LongLiveTakeoff," he wrote in the caption of an Instagram post.
Quavo paid tribute to the late musician, who passed away in November 2022, by dropping new songs with him as a solo artist as well as getting help from some of the most known personalities in the hip-hop genre: Future, Hunxho, Young Thug, and Baby Drill.
He also collaborated with producers Buddah Bless, DJ Durel, Wheezy, Pooh Beats, Murda Beatz, and many more.
