Gloria Estefan Reveals The Most Outrageous Things Fans Did For Her
According to an Entertainment Tonight interview, Gloria Estefan revealed that her fans have done a lot of things for her, including some wild actions that she finds wild at times.
"I had a fan that would put a pin on a jacket for every show he went to, and he had the jacket covered, so he would follow me around the world on tour," she told the outlet. "Fans would be sleeping outside my hotel for three days just to get a glimpse of me when I was on tour.
At one point, Estefan even remembered that some fans had tattooed her eyes from her self-titled album, as some etched her autograph on their arms.
However, not everything her fans did was outrageous as some even lifted her spirits up.
"I had fans that sent me letters of support after the accident," she told the outlet. "The fans were really what got me through. Those letters they sent me, and the energy that I felt, that's what got me through that whole really difficult moment in my life. So I appreciate them greatly."
The accident Estefan was referring to was her close encounter with death in March 1990 when her tour bus collided which left her with a spinal injury that cost her hours of surgery and long periods of recovery.

Gloria Estefan New Game Show 'Superfan'
Speaking of fans, Estefan is hosting a new musical game show called "Superfan" on CBS. The premise of the game is that two people who claim to be an artist of an artist put their knowledge to win prizes including exclusive backstage passes, and signed items, among many others.
"When they called me with the idea about the show, I thought it was brilliant, and I don't understand why no one has done this before," she told Entertainment Tonight. "I think if anyone deserves to be appreciated, it's fans. They keep our music alive, they pass it onto their children, they support everything we do. So I'm thrilled!"
