KPOP superstar V is reigning over the Billboard charts with his newly released debut album, "Layover," but, as it happens, the success did not come easy for the singer.

According to Billboard, V's new album earned 96% of the votes, beating new music from some of the music industry's biggest and hottest stars: Olivia Rodrigo, The Rolling Stones, as well as Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion.

"Layover" also landed V atop the million-seller charts alongside Suga, Jimin as well as BLACKPINK's Jisoo, as it raked in 1.67 million copies sold on the first day of its release.

"It was an album that contained the charm of the human version of Kim Tae-hyung," V said about the album. "I have showcased vibrant and colorful performances onstage, but this new album represents my effort to set aside the flashy elements and reveal my true colors."

This album is the embodiment of the KPOP star, and its huge success is a reflection of how much his fans love and support him.

BTS V Reveals Feeling Burnt Out

The massive success V and the rest of BTS constantly receive with each new music release comes with a few negative aspects like lack of rest and privacy.

During his interview with Suga for "Suchwita," a drinking show, V revealed that he struggled the most with feeling burnt out and exhausted.

"When I think of Taehyung, the year 2018 comes to mind so much, during our 'Fake love' promotions," Suga said, referring to V.

"It was the toughest time in my life," the "Slow Dancing" singer replied. "I started to compare myself to others. 'Because my pace is slower than the members and my thoughts are a bit different ... is that why I'm more burned out?' I thought this a lot."

V Reveals BTS Had No Days Off

According to reports, V even considered getting hurt or sick just so he could rest because they did not get enough days off during that time.

"But we were preparing for our comeback and it was an important dance practice, so we couldn't rest. ... All this negativity piled up inside me," V continued.

"I didn't think I could do anything in that state, so I kept thinking of ways I could rest, but I couldn't think of anything, so I even thought I should get hurt ['If I get hurt, would I be able to rest?']. I thought I should get hurt, but now I want to change that me of the past."
