Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's rumored romance has conquered even the upcoming Halloween 2023 celebration.
The public is taking Swift-Kelce fever to the next level by planning to dress like the rumored couple. Several costume shops revealed that, while Halloween is still a few weeks away, they have already sold out costumes related to the fair.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Halloween Costumes Now Sold Out!
One of the costume shops recently shared how Swift and Kelce's rumored romance boosted its sales over the past few months.
A representative for online Halloween retailer 3 Wishes told a news outlet that the getups - including the "Pop Star Concert Tour Costume" and "Purple Sequin Pop Star Costume" - were sold for $119.95 and $27.95 respectively.
The store reportedly had 500 of the solo Swift costume and 300 of the duo getups featuring Kelce's NFL outfit.
Aside from the costume and clothing industry, Swift and Kelce also influenced the condiment industry with Heinz releasing a limited-edition product to celebrate the "August" singer's meme-worthy mid-snack moment at Arrowhead Stadium.
"It's a new Era for Heinz," the brand said in a September 26 post. "Introducing Ketchup and Seemingly Ranch. Limited-edition bottles coming soon."
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Sparked Celebrity Fatigue?
Amid rumors that their relationship might be a publicity stunt, PR experts explained that some people are sick of repetitive coverage of the same subject.
Founder of Anderson Group Public Relations and Hollywood publicist Liza Anderson said the phenomenon of celebrity fatigue is something publicists are aware of.
"There used to be an expression that 'all press is good press.' I don't necessarily believe that's true. There has to be a balance," Anderson explained to Yahoo! Entertainment. "You want to make sure they're connected to their audience and they're connected to their fans, but not so much where the fans are rolling their eyes every time they hear their name."
Meanwhile, Cancel Communications CEO and founder Matthew Cancel said that the fatigue can also make fans feel "disassociated" with the celebrities.
He added that overexposure could cause a risk of being devalued; thus, it might lead to smaller brand deals and fewer projects.
On the other hand, Swifties are not feeling such a fatigue as they continuously support the singer's swirling romance.
