According to Celebrity Net Worth, Suzanne Somers' net worth at the time of her death reached a whopping $100 million mark. The amount of fortune did not surprise her avid fans, who knew what she went through to become big in Hollywood.

The late star, born Suzanne Marie Mahoney, started acting in the late 1960s and early 1970s through small roles in TV and films. Among her early works include "Bullitt," "The Love Boat," "The Six Million Dollar Man," "One Day at a Time," "American Graffiti" and "Magnum Force."

Somers finally scored her big break when she was tapped to play Chrissy Snow's role on the ABC sitcom, "Three's Company," where she worked with John Ritter and Joyce DeWitt. She earned $30,000 per episode but soon demanded a raise up to $150,000 - just as much as her costar Ritter was receiving.

When the producers declined her request, she did not appear in two episodes, claiming health issues.

Her popularity started hitting low in the years before the series fired her prior to the last episode in 1984. After the gig, she reportedly started having a hard time securing roles, leading her to become a Thighmaster commercial spokesperson.

Somers found her spot in the acting industry again through "Step by Step."

Although she did not have a formal career in the music industry, she famously established her empire as a singer by performing songs like "Let It Snow," "Bye Bye Baby," "New Attitude," "You Made Me Love You" and "Baby, It's Cold Outside."

She also showed her talent in a 1997 episode of "Step by Step."

Somers was married twice in her lifetime: first was to Bruce Somers and her second and last was to Alan Hamel.
