Pink responded to the criticisms about her waving what was mistaken as Israel's flag during her concert.

"This post will be controversial for some. At this point, breathing is controversial. I am getting many threats because people mistakenly believe I am flying Israeli flags in my show. I am not," the "F**king Perfect" singer wrote on her social media post.

She went on to explain that the flag she was flying was the Poi flag, which represents the Māori people in New Zealand, noting that the "Māori people are beautiful to [her]," which is why she waves it during her concerts.

Other than the Poi flag, Pink supports the LGBTQIA+ community and also proudly waves the rainbow flag during her concerts.

"I do not fly flags in my show in support of anything or anyone except the rainbow flag. That will remain my position."

Pink Faces Backlash, Mistaken for Supporting Israel

Pink, unlike other artists and celebrities, has not shared her stand in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

However, she is not the first to receive criticism and backlash in regard to the war; Justin Bieber, Kylie Jenner, and Jamie Lee Curtis are some of the stars who were criticized for supporting Israel and sharing disinformation online.

"I do not fly flags in my show in support of anything or anyone except the rainbow flag. That will remain my position," the singer concluded in her statement.

On the other hand, just as Pink stated, she has been using the Poi and rainbow flags during her "Summer Carnival" tour since it started back in June, reports say.

Fans Support Pink Amid Criticisms

Following the news, fans flocked over to the comments section of Pink's X (formerly known as Twitter) post to show their support towards the singer.

"Absolutely in awe of Pink's use of Poi flags, paying homage to the Māori culture. It's a beautiful reminder that music transcends borders and celebrates diversity. Here's to artists who inspire and unite us!"

"She had to post this because apparently whoever runs the official Israel account doesn't know what their own flag looks like."

"My idol just said, "You thought I support Israel? You better think again"... And I thought I couldn't love her more...."

On the other hand, there were still some negative sentiments regarding her statement, just as she had predicted.

"While I won't force anyone to speak on anything, to say 'I do not fly flags in my show in support of anything or anyone except the rainbow flag' while a genocide is happening is plain cold."

"W**f is a Poi flag? As a 'beautiful Māori,' I reckon just fly the Palestinian flag."
