Sean Paul did what any other person would do when they suddenly experienced an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6-run.

According to reports, Paul was in the middle of an interview with Dan Zabludovsky, a Vice documentarist, and musician Tofu Jack through Twitch when the incident happened.

"Oh s**t, we're having an earthquake," the "Get Busy" rapper exclaimed as he stood from his chair to flee in search of a safe place.

Apparently, Paul is used to earthquakes, as it is a common occurrence in Jamaica, where he was born and raised.

"Yeah, we been having those in Jamaica since I was a kid, that wasn't the strongest one I've ever felt but it was kinda long and that surprised me," the rapper told People Magazine.

He even shared where he ran to for safety-beneath a door jamb, and called it "the safest place in the house."

Fans reacted to Paul abruptly leaving the interview, with some joking about the situation and others being scared for the rapper.

"Sean cut same time lol," one wrote.

"It was scary af. One of the strongest we've ever felt," another added.

"Legendary SP all safe. Sheesh."

"Not the "shake dat ting" that he's used to. But also that exit is Jamaican af."

"This is the most well documented earthquake I've ever seen. Why does everyone have a video reacting to it?"

Sean Paul Survives Earthquake

As per the rapper, he is safe and was not harmed by the quake. However, it was strong enough to be felt all over Jamaica.

"Damage has been minor, but nevertheless, we are taking all precautions," said Andrew Holness, the Prime Minister of the country. "I want to say to all Jamaicans, remain calm.

"We implore citizens to remain calm and follow all the protocols regarding earthquakes and general safety."

Sean Paul Working on New Music?

Paul has not released a new album since 2022's "Scorcha," which came a year after the release of "Live n Livin," and 22 years since his debut album "Stage One," released in 2000.

Despite not releasing much new music since last year, Paul has garnered several Billboard Latin Music Awards nominations and has released some singles here and there, reports say.
