Corey Taylor will turn 50 in a few days and he recently responded to a very important question that people that age often have a hard time answering.

The musician recently appeared in an interview with TellUs Rock where he revealed his true feelings about being 50 years old.

At the time of the interview, which was done for him to promote his solo album titled "CMFT2," host Mattias Ericsson brought up the topic of his birthday and he was asked if it was something that he needed to think about or age is only a number for him.

"It depends on how early in the morning I think about it 'cause there are definitely times [when] I get up and I'm like [imitates body aches]. . . . Like, "Oh, Christ. Where did that come from?" So, yes and no," he answered. (via Loudwire)

Corey Taylor is Taking Good Care of Himself

Given his age as he's set to celebrate his half a century birthday, he noted on the show that he takes a good care of himself.

Some of the things he do to maintain a healthy lifestyle is by working out and having a balanced diet.

Aside from wanting to further his career in the music industry, he noted that he also wanted to live a long life because of his family.

"I don't always succeed, but I try to eat well. I try to stay as healthy as possible . . . not just because of what I do, but because I wanna spend as much time on this planet with my family as possible," he added.

He later acknowledged that he did a lot of bad things to himself years ago and he is "paying for it now."

Is Corey Taylor Suffering From Health Woes?

A few months ago, when he spoke with Rock Feed, he opened up about having "constant pain" because of his years of performing.

At the time, he estimated that he "maybe have five years left" but he also wanted to take care of his body.

"It's the knees, it's my feet. I have a broken toe on this foot. I have gout across my feet. It gets up into my joints and s***. . . . It's tough. I'm not as nimble as I used to be," he said.
