  • Aphex Twin Releases More Music To user48736353001 Soundcloud Account

Aphex Twin has been quiet over the past couple months after an uncharacteristically productive few finish to 2014 and start of 2015 that saw the reclusive pioneering electronic music producer release an album, Syro, an EP and hundreds of demos. He started a few random soundcloud accounts to try and clandestinely upload old demos and unfinished music to the streaming service. The "Hot Ni*ga" rapper has still remained active with the media, calling into radio stations with his limited phone calls, remaining steadfast in his belief that he is innocent on all accounts. He recently was the subject of a profile by New York Magazine, who spoke to Pollard over a video conference call line normally reserved for lawyers and their clients.
  • Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams Push for 'Blurred Lines' Retrial

Attorneys for Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams are pushing for a retrial in the case of "Blurred Lines" and its similarities to Marvin Gaye's "Got To Give It Up." The original trial wrapped up during March, resulting in more than $7.4 million in payouts for the plaintiffs. Now the duo is suggesting to U.S. District Judge John Krandstadt that they should be given another shot in a courtroom due to errors in jury instruction and "improper testimony" from a musicologist.
