James Blake is currently working on the follow-up to 2013's "Overgrown," and fans will be pleased to know that there is a good possibility of Kanye West appearing on the record. The album, which has yet to be titled, could arrive as early as April, the singer told the "Miami New Times.""I have a lot of respect for [Kanye], for what he has been releasing for years," Blake said. "We haven't done a great deal of work in the same room yet, but we've done a few things, kind of helped each other with our own music. In terms of the actual collaboration for this record, it looks like we should be able to get something done. I know that there's a specific song I would like him to be on, and if he can do that by the time my record comes out, that would be fantastic."The release is coming along, with Blake saying he is more than halfway done with it. -
Brad Pitt to Play Bruce Springsteen in Biopic? Rumors Surface About Possible 'Boss' Flick
Let the rumors begin. A-list actor Brad Pitt is reportedly trying to play Bruce Springsteen in a biopic. Early reports claim that Pitt is raising funds to make a movie tentatively titled "The Boss." Springsteen has been approached many times before, but a source told the "The National Enquirer" that Pitt's involvement has peaked the rock star's interest. Now, you have to take anything from "TNE" with caution, but it's certainly a discussion worth having. A comprehensive biography titled "Bruce" came out in 2012, and it would provide decent source material for a movie. The aging rocker is still as active as ever in the music scene, which would potentially hinder a film production, though. And it's great that Pitt may want to do this, but there are other actors to consider for the part of the polarizing frontman."Bruce is 65 now and he feels it's time, and this is Brad Pitt, so he is thinking it over," the source said. "Bruce and Brad share a desire to unite the world and serve the underrepresented and help the working people around the globe." -

Foo Fighters Selling Ugly Holiday Sweaters Featuring an Evil Gingerbread and Emperor-Inspired Font
Ugly holiday sweater parties have become a holiday tradition in recent years, and retailers have been cashing in on the trend by offering dated designs on new clothes. The Foo Fighters are getting in on the action now, too, with their own tacky Christmas gear. Rather than cheerful imagery, Dave Grohl and Co. opted for a scary gingerbread man and font that pays tribute to the Norwegian black metal band Emperor. As Blabbermouth points out, the sweaters are available for $30 on the band's Web store. They come in — you guessed it — green and red.In the most recent episode of the band's HBO series and companion piece to their new album, "Sonic Highways," Grohl and the boys visited New Orleans. They recorded at the historic Preservation Hall, which is rich in history, none of which Grohl knew anything about, admitting, "Before I turned on the camera with Ben Jaffe from Preservation Hall [Jazz Band], I said, 'I don't know s--t about jazz and I don't know shit about New Orleans. We're rolling.'" -
Krewella File Counterclaim, To Speak Out at 5 p.m. PST; deadmau5 Responds
After breaking their silence on Facebook with a cryptic message telling their fans to "Say Goodbye," Krewella have brought the fight back to the courtroom with a lawsuit of their own against Kris Trindl, the former third member of the group. Jahan Yousaf and Yasmine Yousaf, the sister duo who remain in Krewella, have alleged in their counterclaim that Trindl's allegations are baseless and look to show he was not integral to the group, prompting deadmau5 to respond.First reported by "The Hollywood Reporter," the claims filed in Los Angeles court detail close to two years of alleged negligent behavior that look to paint him as someone unable and unwilling to do the work required for Krewella. The 22-page court document recounts a period overt the past two years where Trindl was largely absent from studio sessions and unable to DJ because he was either too intoxicated or simply had not learned how to.As the court documents state, "While on stage, Kris would generally stand to the side of Jahan and Yasmine and pump his arms, while pretending to DJ; he was onstage primarily for the sake of image. Because Kris did not know how to DJ, he only had two effect buttons."The counterclaim also alleges that Trindl, producer for the group, actually did little producing on their artist album "Get Wet" and only wholly contributed to one song, though he received producing credits on all the tracks. The two lawsuits agree on the fact that Trindl had a substance abuse problem, but the Yousaf sisters tell a different story with how he received help. The counterclaim portrays him as uncooperative with attempts by Jahan and Yasmine to give him help with his alcohol addiction. The sisters will be speaking out today at 5 p.m. PST to give their side of the story during a live stream event on Twitch. In addition to the counterclaim filed in L.A. court, we will see what they have to say on the lawsuit, giving the situation a more human touch. They also may comment on upcoming releases and give some clarity to their "Say Goodbye" photo.Deadmau5, who has been quite vocal about this whole situation, took to his favorite medium of communication — Twitter — to share his thoughts on the situation. -
Garth Brooks Facebook, Twitter: Singer Says He Personally Handles Social Media Posts
Garth Brooks is now on Facebook and Twitter. In fact, he is showing a real enthusiasm for the whole social media thing, but he had good reasons for staying off the sites for several years."Well, up till August of this year, you've gotta remember, I was in my children's life," Brooks told the "Sean & Richie Show," via The Boot. "That was everything. And, no offense, I didn't feel it was right to share that."Things have changed, though."Pretty cool now, though: The kids are all gone, we're out on tour and people want to know about that?" he said. "Heck, yeah, I can talk about that all day long."Brooks said he is personally handling his own social media posts, marked "Love, g" at the bottom. "Team Garth" is still posting regularly on both sites. -
Slipknot Singer Corey Taylor Hates Cellphone Use at Shows: 'Pay Attention, or Don't Be Here'
Corey Taylor will break your cellphone if he sees you using it at his show.He recently told Blabbermouth, via AltPress, a story that will surely upset smartphone-loving fans. While playing a gig, he noticed a girl constantly on her phone during Slipknot's set, so he got as near to her as possible and poured four bottles of water in her direction."It had to have broken her phone," he said. "And then she was just bummed for the rest of the night, and I just kept shrugging at her, going, 'Hey, it's a live show. Pay attention, or don't be here.'"That might be a bit dictatorial at a public event for which the young woman paid handsomely to attend, but Taylor did not care. He did say he is a fan of Twitter, however. -

That epic battle saw Merchant taking on "Boom! Shake the Room" by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince and Gordon-Levitt mouthing "Tiny Dancer" by Elton John.Paul Rudd helped bring the game to "The Tonight Show," performing Tina Turner's "You Better Be Good to Me" and Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now." Reba McEntire Talks New Music, Excited About Love Song 'I Don't Have Many of Those'
We have no idea what Reba McEntire's new album will be called or when it will be released, but we do know one thing: It is happening. The country queen's most recent studio effort, "All the Women I Am," was released in 2010."I figured it was over," she recently told "Billboard," via The Boot.McEntire said her husband, Narvel Blackstock, convinced her she had more left in the tank. "[He] kept saying, 'No, it's not; you'll record again.' And I was like, 'Wow, where's your crystal ball?'"Blackstock was right, and now McEntire is freely talking about the process for her new disc. She even has a love song: "I Don't Have Many of Those.""One thing we are sticklers about is keeping the emotion — not to make it perfect," she said. "I want it to feel heartfelt — lots of soul with it. With the technology nowadays and our engineers being so incredible, you can say, 'I want to sing that,' and they're ready, or then, 'I want to sing it again,' and they're ready. There are overdubs, you can comp it, and you can make it just right."There is another convenient aspect of country music: McEntire gets to hand-pick songs for her album from a trove of unreleased tunes.
