This was either a case of the thinking that any press is good press or somebody did not think this one through at all. In an upcoming compilation Punk Goes Pop 6 (there have been six of these ?!), a hardcore, death metal cover of DJ Snake & Lil Jon's trap anthem 'Turn Down For What" was included. The covering offenders are Upon A Burning Body, who got Ice T to spit a verse or two in between solving crimes on Law & Order SVU. The band rewrites the vocals, but keeps the same theme of turning up / down and general debauchery. -

However, as part of Avicii's partnership with World AIDS organization (RED), who's goal is to deliver the first AIDS free generation in thirty years, and Coca Cola, one of the corporate sponsors for the campaign, Avicii has released the final product of a previously reported collaboration with Wyclef Jean, "Divine Sorrow". -

The Smashing Pumpkins have shared a new song from their upcoming 'Monuments to an Elegy'. "Tiberius" is heavy on the synth effects and heavier with the guitars. Billy Corgan growls all over the track as the rest of the Pumpkins play on. The song is the third singles from the album, with "Being Beige" and "One and All" dropping in October and earlier this month, respectively. -

The Rascal Flatts just finished up their summer arena and stadium "Rewind" tour across the United States and are already serving up some new shows to fans. They just announced a new residency in Las Vegas at the Vegas output of the Hard Rock Hotel starting next year according to Rolling Stone. The Rascal Flatts will start their nine-concert residency at the Joint, a 4,000-seat venue inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. -
Pioneer Announces CD-less Touch Screen Turntable With The XDJ-1000
Pioneer Electronics has released the information on its brand new set of CDJ styled decks. CDJs are the brand of CD players from Pioneer, but with the new evolution of CDJs, that name is about to change. It has announced the upcoming release of the XDJ-1000, which boats the iconic Pioneer jogwheel, where one can scratch and adjust the time of the song and has many of the same features like cue points and sync. However there are two main changes that will be added to the XDJ-1000. It is CD-less and will be a touch screen with a QWERTY keyboard that makes song selection much easier. -
Fifth Harmony Cover Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas Is You,' Meghan Trainor Does Original 'I'll Be Home' for Holiday EP [LISTEN]
We are a little more than a week away from Thanksgiving, which means Christmas is in the air ... and has been for a few weeks now. Epic Records has put together an EP of holiday covers titled "I'll Be Home for Christmas" that includes Fiona Apple, Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson, among others. Female R&B group Fifth Harmony are on the EP, and they decided to take on Mariah Carey's 1994 classic "All I Want for Christmas Is You" while Meghan Trainor contributes an original titled "I'll Be Home."Fifth Harmony are reverent with their cover of the tune, which is a good choice since it has become a holiday favorite in the last two decades, MTV News reports. The women trade off verses, and the variety of vocals really adds something special to the song. -
