Eva Mendes may be curling up with Ryan Gosling at night and sharing parenting duties over baby Esmeralda, but apparently she is not as secure as you would think. All it took was a phone call or two from Gosling's ex Rachel McAdams to bring out Mendes's jealous side and make her fiercely protective of her new family.According to a report by Radar Online, McAdams recently decided to call Gosling to congratulate him on becoming a father, and the conversation turned a bit more personal. Mendes was left with the feeling that McAdams might be hoping to reunite with her former love, and she immediately banned Gosling from having any further contact with her.Gosling and Mendes had been together for a few years and were rumored to have been on a break when she found out she was pregnant. That might be one of the reasons why it took her until almost her third trimester to confirm that she was having a baby. Obviously, Mendes managed to win back her man and she and Gosling seem to have been doing quite well since baby Esmeralda was born a few months ago. -
Peaceful Protests Erupt All Over NYC After the Grand Jury Decides Not to Indict Daniel Pantaleo in Eric Garner Chokehold Death Case
Almost immediately after it was announced yesterday that NYPD Officer Daniel Pantaleo would not be indicted for the chokehold death of Eric Garner in July on a Staten Island street, the backlash and disbelief began. If you tuned in to any of the news stations, then what you saw was inevitably heated debates between journalists and legal analysts over whether or not an indictment for any charge at all seemed like a no-brainer. Then last night, the peaceful protests began.Smaller groups in Harlem and Staten Island and at Grand Central Terminal were later followed by a march 5,000 people strong down Broadway through Times Square. Protesters are still rallying for some type of justice for Garner, who, just minutes before his death, broke up a fight between a few other people and then found himself surrounded by NYPD. A video of the entire altercation was caught on a cellphone and Garner's hands were clearly up as he backed away from officers who were determined to arrest him for selling loose cigarettes — a summary offense.Pantaleo wrestled Garner to the ground in what appeared to be a type of chokehold, something that has been banned by the NYPD. Even as Garner expressed his inability to breathe and another officer directed Pantaleo to release him, he continued the maneuver until Garner eventually died on that sidewalk. Ironically enough, after it was announced that the grand jury would not be charging Pantaleo with a single crime, he issued an apology to Garner's family, something his widow, Esaw Garner refused to accept. -
'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Sues Bankruptcy Attorney James Kridel, Blames Him for Jail Sentence
Remember how Teresa Giudice stood before the judge in open court in early October and said she was ready to take full responsibility for her bad business decisions that resulted in her and husband Joe Giudice defrauding just about every business partner they have had in the last several years? Well, scratch that because it looks like Teresa was more interested in saying the right thing in the hopes of getting out of a prison stint. It did not work, as "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star is expected to turn herself in to begin serving 15 months Jan. 5, but she has decided to play the blame game before she goes away.Teresa has filed a $5 million lawsuit against her bankruptcy attorney James Kridel, basically blaming his ineptness for her being sentenced to prison. A list of assets had been requested by the court, and while it was submitted — late — it was also missing numerous things, such as property and luxury items owned by the Giudices. When they arrived for sentencing in October, they were vilified for not reporting everything and concealing assets right up to the end, which may have been the thing that prompted the judge to throw the proverbial book at Teresa. It is also a convenient way for the reality star to shift the blame onto someone other than herself, and that is exactly what she is attempting to do with Kridel. Plus, she is now broke and still has to pay back more than $200,000 in restitution as part of her sentencing, so Teresa is really desperate to generate cash flow from wherever she can, and she knows that her options are limited. -
Jimmy Fallon Has Been Named 'Entertainment Weekly' 2014 Entertainer of the Year
A few days after we all flip our calendars to December, it begins: the year-end best and worst of everything lists that pop up in nearly every major publication. It only makes sense that "Entertainment Weekly" would be leading the pack with its selections of the biggest hits and most epic fails of the year. Its selection for the 2014 Entertainer of the Year is Jimmy Fallon, and really, can anyone even begin to offer up a valid argument against "EW's" selection?Fallon took over "The Tonight Show's" hosting duties from Jay Leno just as the Sochi Olympics were wrapping up, and he kind of did the unthinkable. Fallon's ratings were really high for his first few nights at the helm of "The Tonight Show," and then they got better. Not even a year into his new gig and his ratings are better than Leno's were even in his much-hyped final weeks on NBC.So what is the secret to Fallon's groundbreaking success? -
Is Kate Middleton Expecting a Little Princess Next April?
The beginning of Kate Middleton's second pregnancy was sure rough, as Prince William's wife battled even worse morning sickness than what she endured while carrying Prince George two years ago. Nearly three months of royal appearances were systematically canceled until the duchess was finally back on her feet again and already she is nearly halfway through her pregnancy. Rumor has it that this time around Middleton wanted to know the gender of her baby and she is thrilled to be having a daughter.Middleton and Prince William had originally said they wanted to have three children within about five years so their kids could really bond while young and grow up together. When Middleton delivers this child in April, she will technically have two kids under 2, as George's second birthday is not until July. It looks like the couple's family plan is right on track and, according to Hollywood Life, even Queen Elizabeth II is hoping that the news is correct and that this baby is a girl. -
Soap Star Eileen Davidson Finally Made Her Much-Anticipated Debut on 'RHOBH'
Bravo has been pretty smart in the way it has handled the newest season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." It purposely added two soap stars to the cast — Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson — but they spaced out their debuts, probably for maximum affect. Rinna was in on the action with the rest of the cast right from the season premiere, but it waited until the third episode for Davidson's debut. While nothing too traumatic went down last night, Dec. 2, between Davidson and anyone else, we already know from the trailer that she and Rinna have at least one glass-throwing incident and they are not exactly the best of friends at all. They crossed paths years ago on "Days of Our Lives" and clearly never gelled. It is pretty obvious already that Bravo is expecting Davidson to cause some friction among the ladies, and that seems to be a role she is already comfortable playing. -
Grand Jury Decision Imminent in NYPD Chokehold Death of Eric Garner
While the majority of America has been focused on the fallout in Ferguson, Missouri, after Michael Brown's killer Police Officer Darren Wilson was not indicted, another eerily similar case has been starting to grab real attention. In July, Eric Garner was stopped on a Staten Island street and accused of selling loose, untaxed cigarettes by NYPD officers. As they closed in on Garner, he resisted a bit while asking them not to touch him, but eventually Officer Daniel Pantaleo placed Garner in a chokehold while wrestling him to the ground.Garner died on that sidewalk and a New York City grand jury has been deliberating since late September over whether or not Pantaleo should be charged, and it looks like their decision is imminent. This altercation was captured on video and it is absolutely horrific to hear Garner pleading with the officers, telling them flat out, "I can't breathe."Garner had asthma, and it has been determined that the chokehold combined with that and heart issues ultimately lead to his death. Peaceful protests have been occurring quite regularly in Garner's neighborhood, with many calling for criminal charges to be filed against Pantaleo. -
Ray Rice Insists He and Janay Rice Have Only Ever Had 'One Bad Night, It Just Happened to Be on Video'
Did you catch Ray Rice's interview with Matt Lauer yesterday on "Today"? The sit-down interview had actually been booked with Janay Rice, and it gave her an opportunity to finally speak about that horrific night in Atlantic City last February when Ray knocked her out cold in an elevator. The couple had been dealing with their issues semi-privately until the surveillance video went viral last September, and the fallout has been huge. Janay answered all sorts of questions about their relationship and insisted that her now-husband has never laid a finger on her other than this one time. Supposedly, Ray came home near the end of her interview and decided to appear on camera.Perhaps NBC thought it would feel more impromptu and less strategically planned if Lauer talked to the couple while standing in their kitchen. Once they all settled in around the island, Rice insisted that they have only had this one bad night together, and unfortunately there is video to document it. He also claims that working is not his biggest concern right now.Ray told Lauer:"The big deal is for me to always protect her, and that's why I said I take full responsibility. She can do no wrong. This is something, you know, as a man you have to own and, we're horribly sorry, and I'm horribly sorry for everything that I have to put my family through. I still got to live every day, go take my daughter to school. She's going to grow up and the way the Internet works now she's going to Google her father's name and the first thing that's going to come up is, you know what's going to come up." -
Dr. Nancy Snyderman Returns to 'Today' After Ebola Quarantine Violation Resulted in Serious Backlash
Dr. Nancy Snyderman will finally return to "The Today Show" this morning after a two-month absence. The medical expert returned from Liberia in early October and announced that she and her crew would be voluntarily quarantining themselves because one NBC freelancer with them had contracted the Ebola virus. About a week into that self-imposed quarantine, Snyderman was spotted out grabbing take-out in New Jersey. She issued an apology that sounded more like blame-shifting and the backlash was so bad that NBC has kept her off the air and in limbo for the last six weeks. For a while the network was reportedly debating whether or not to fire their chief medical correspondent. Before this major misstep, Snyderman was considered to be a credible and valued member of NBC's news team. The jury is still out on whether or not the viewers will continue to trust her judgment. Snyderman's first segment back will have nothing to do with Ebola and she is expected to once again apologize for her careless actions. -

ABC News Anchor David Muir Is Furious That First Darren Wilson Exclusive Interview Went to George Stephanopoulos Instead of Him
We told you a few weeks ago that there was a serious fight between the networks to score the first exclusive interview with Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson. CNN's Don Lemon and Anderson Cooper as well as NBC's Matt Lauer all met with Wilson before he finally decided to sit down and talk on the record with ABC's George Stephanopoulos. As it turns out, perhaps the person most bent out of shape over Wilson's choice is "ABC World News Tonight" anchor David Muir.Apparently Muir believes that as the network's evening anchor, he should be the one who is in the running for the serious "gets," not just Stephanopoulos. Sources close to Muir dished on the fact that he is furious exclusively to Page Six.
