Each category featured seven artists who made waves in the country world from May 2013 through April 2014. Fans voted through June 9, 2014 and winners were announced earlier this week.

  • Taylor Swift Gives $50K to Cancer Program

    Taylor Swift has yet again given to a great cause. The award-winning singer/songwriter is well known for her generosity and this time, the recipient was Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Swift donated $50,000 so the hospital can buy a music therapy cart, which will allow the young patients to create and produce their own music while fighting their cancer.
  • Chris Young Expected to Make a Full Recovery

    On Thursday night, Chris Young hosted his annual fan club party with a crowd of over 500 fans on the General Jackson showboat. After the party, he went home and started preparing a late-night dinner. He sliced his hand open with a kitchen knife and after an ER visit, was hopeful that he would be well enough to perform on Saturday at the CMA Music Festival. Yesterday, those hopes were dashed when he found that he had cut tendons and immediate surgery would be necessary. Released from the hospital this morning, Young is expected to be able to return to guitar playing (and full function) after physical therapy and rehab on the hand.
