    One of the U.K.'s biggest electronic music festivals, let alone music festivals in general, Creamfields has announced its 2015 lineup. Taking place just outside Liverpool on the often times soggy fields of Daresbury, England, the festival will be headlined by the biggest acts in the genre, like Armin van Buuren, Alesso, Avicii, Steve Angello, Tiësto, Hardwell, Axwell / Ingrosso, Eric Prydz and others.

    Barcelona's 2015 Sónar festival has announced the third and final phase of artists who will be headed to Catalonia in June. Headlining the new batch of artists is New York City rapper A$AP Rocky, where he will be joined by RL Grime, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Adam Beyer and others.

    Donald Glover, known to most within the music community by his Grammy-nominated rap persona, Childish Gambino, went on the "Today Show" this morning to discuss the brand new film he stars in, "The Lazarus Effect." Towards the end, the subject of his music career was broached and he was quite honest about the future of his music career, and Childish Gambino specifically, commenting, "I feel like Childish Gambino is a period that should come to a close," noting "I like endings."
  • Ultra Music Festival 2015 Announces Lineup Phase 2: W&W, Oliver Heldens, Tchami Included

    With a month until kick-off, Miami's Ultra Music Festival announced the second phase of another hundred or so artists who will be joining the massive, three-day electronic music event at the end of March. Included in the new batch of artists will be Oliver Heldens, Dash Berlin, W&W, Boys Noize, Chromeo, Claude vonStroke & Green Velvet as Get Real, DJ Snake, Robin Schulz, Galantis, Tchami, Tommy Trash, Laidback Luke, The Magician, Zeds Dead, Cashmere Cat, EDX, Henrik B and many more.

    It appears that the beef within Rick Ross's Maybach Music Group camp between Wale and Meek Mill has been settled. Wale posted two pictures of the two in the studio together yesterday, Feb. 23, in apparent good spirits with the caption "late night cook up."
  • Did Diplo Leak the Jack Ü Album Release Date?

    Diplo is known for sharing a lot about his life and his music on social media and in interviews. The "Revolution" DJ shared a photo on his Instagram account that showed Jack Ü, his duo with Skrillex, written out in yellow and black beads with the caption "Three days....," according to 'YourEDM.' The photo was deleted shortly after it was posted, but some fans were able to grab a screenshot. Though it is not confirmed, based on past comments and statements from both members, it can be fair to assume that Diplo is talking about the upcoming Jack Ü album release date.

    Jay Z made big news when it was announced that a takeover bid of 464 million Swedish krona -- $56 million -- was made for Swedish IT company Aspiro, the parent company of WiMP and TIDAL, through his Project Panther Bidco, a subsidiary of his S. Carter Enterprises. Aspiro management, pending shareholder approval, quickly approved the bid and the shareholders have handed down their decision, saying the price undervalues the company because it "does not sufficiently value" its long-term potential.

    Funkmaster Flex has been a busy man lately getting groups back together. He was instrumental in bringing Dipset back together after years of infighting and each artist pursuing their own solo career to varying degrees of success. In a new interview with hiphop-n-more, the Hot 97 DJ listed off some of the projects he was working on and mentioned he was in doing something with The Fugees, the celebrated, multi-platinum and Grammy-award winning 1990's hip-hop, soul and reggae group.

    With only a few hours until the release of his third artist album Dark Sky Paradise, Big Sean has shared a new freestyle of Beyoncé's song "Me, Myself, and I."Sean opens the song by saying that "Me, Myself, and I" is one of his favorite tracks. The Beyoncé single originally appeared on her first album Dangerously In Love in 2003. According to a few tweets, he recording the freestyle last night for his fans without sleep because of a busy schedule.

    The Oscars were last night and though Grand Budapest Hotel and Birdman dominated, J.K. As one might expect with that name and for a movie that has become as popular as it has over the award season, there would be some parodies. The latest comes from the electronic music space and the comedy sketch group Nacho Punch who mimic the Whiplash trailer almost perfectly, but this time with a DJ named DJ Wh1la$h and his struggled with an abusive teacher at the Skrillex Academy.

    Atlanta rap-trio Migos have shared their contribution to the soundtrack for the new film Finesse, which boasts itself to be the No. 1 comedy in America. The soundtrack consists of largely previously released songs from the likes of Rich Homie Quan, Trinidad James, Rich the Kid, August Alsina, Peewee Longway and others, but they managed to convince Migos to contribute a new track, "Mr. Miyagi," to the film.
