Australian Cricketer Phil Hughes Dies After Being Hit In the Head in Freak Accident
t's a sad day in the sports world as it has been confirmed that 25-year old Phil Hughes, an Australian Cricketer has succumbed to a head injury that occurred during a match two days ago. Hughes was fatally injured when hit by a "bouncer," a short ball that bounces up towards the batsman's torso, near his left ear. The ball somehow managed to hit Hughes at the top of his neck, in spite of his helmet because he just so happened to swivel at that moment. Hughes suffered a massive bleed to his brain almost instantly and never recovered from a medically induced coma. -

Jamie-Lynn Sigler and her family are grieving the loss of her oldest brother. Adam Sigler suffered a brain hemorrhage in the last few days and was reportedly in a coma for awhile before finally passing away on Wednesday. The 42-year old stockbroker was apparently in good health and he fell ill with no advance warning at all. -

All of that speculation about Melissa Rivers filing a wrongful death lawsuit has now become reality, as it was announced that Joan Rivers's daughter has retained the Manhattan powerhouse law firm of Gair, Gair, Conason, Steigman, Maloof, Bloom and Rubinowitz. This comes as simply the first step in filing a multimillion-dollar wrongful death suit against the Yorkville Clinic, where Joan's routine endoscopic procedure resulted in a coma the comedienne never came out of. It is possible a formal suit could be filed as early as today in New York City.
