It's something that was less than shocking then and even less shocking if he did it in 2014 (which, he did), as Sir Elton has always seen fit to dangle his retirement in front of us just to make sure we're still paying attention. To honor the man that has long set the standard for false retirements—and inspiring Michael Jordan, Jay Z and Brett Favre in the process—we give you brief chronology of John's most famous bluffs.
