The first batch of music videos from Fall Out Boy's new album American Beauty/American Psycho may have been filled with dramatics and daring visuals, but the band isn't always that serious. Today (Feb. 20), the Chicago rockers dropped a new music video for its latest AB/AP single "Irresistible" and they're just a couple of normal dudes, playing some b-ball in the park... with some very, very short shorts. -
Taylor Swift Tops Album Sales Charts as Ne-Yo, Charlie Wilson and the Bethel Music Group Debut in Top 10
This week's Billboard 200 didn't reflect much in terms of new music but the Albums Chart has better news, introducing two new debut discs. Taylor Swift and 1989 are at the top again however, selling 71,000 copies. As we mentioned yesterday, that makes her only the second female performer to top the chart for at least 10 weeks with two different albums (the other being Whitney Houston). Also interesting: This week's stop at the top marks the first time since Lecrae's Anomaly during September that an album went to no. 1 with less than 100,000 in sales. -
Taylor Swift Sets Records with '1989' on Billboard 200, While Maroon 5, Ne-Yo and Grammy Nominees Resurge
One week after a surge of new releases and the Billboard 200 has gotten back to the same ol' as Taylor Swift and 1989 reclaim the top spot on the charts. The album moved 101,000 equivalent albums as it earned its tenth week atop the Billboard 200 and the first time in three weeks. This makes Swift openly the second woman ever to have two separate albums that have spent at least 10 weeks at no. 1, with Whitney Houston being the other. -
Fall Out Boy Apologize for "Centuries" Getting Overplayed During the College Football Playoffs
If you watched the college football playoffs in January, chances are you heard Fall Out Boy's new single "Centuries" more times than you could count. That is because Fox blared the song at least a handful of times each game, with one Reddit user counting 45 uses between the Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl and National Championship. -
Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars "Uptown Funk", Meghan Trainor 'Title' Top U.K. Charts Beating Out Hozier, Ed Sheeran & Rihanna
The charts in the U.K. are looking quite a bit like the ones here in the United States. As Meghan Trainor's debut album Title and Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' throwback hit "Uptown Funk" crown the Billboard charts, the major pop players are also owning things across the pond. -
New Fall Out Boy, Joey Bada$$, Marilyn Manson Albums and More Spur Rise in Sales Last Week
Fall Out Boy stands on top of both the Billboard 200 and the Albums Charts this week with American Beauty/American Psycho, and while the plenty of albums managed to debut on the former this week, 60 percent of the albums in the Top 10 of the latter were new releases. -

Fall Out Boy and Meghan Trainor Set January Mark with New Albums on Billboard 200, while Taylor Swift Stays Comfortable
Fall Out Boy and a slew of other new albums broke the dam and brought forth a flood of debuts back onto the Billboard 200 after the holiday sales lull. That band's American Beauty/American Psycho premiered at no. 1 with 218,000 equivalent albums sold, and its 192,000 actual album sales teamed with Meghan Trainor's debut last week for the first pair of albums released during January to top 150,000 apiece since 2010. American Beauty marked a significant uptick in sales from the band's 2013 album Save Rock and Roll. -
Pete Wentz Says Fall Out Boy Wrote Songs for One Direction That Were 'Too Odd'
Pete Wentz recently revealed that Fall Out Boy teamed up with One Direction for a writing session prior to the completion of the boy band's last album Four, which came out in November. According to FOB's bassist/lyricist, the songs were not used on 1D's album most likely because they were "too odd" for the pop stars. Wentz also went on to talk about how Fall Out Boy, which released "American Beauty/American Psycho" earlier this month, has been able to maintain a successful career. -

Junk Mail: Fall Out Boy 'American Beauty/American Psycho' Album Review
AB/AP was an ambitious effort that showed the band experimenting with new ways construct a song. Overall, it maintained the sound I expected from the band. There were details and choices they made that I found interesting, but I don't think it's an album I'll end up revisiting. That said, I think Fall Out Boy fans will be happy with this effort. -

Fall Out Boy is looking to have its new album American Beauty/American Psycho to go down in history for "Centuries." To celebrate the release of AB/AP, the Chicago rockers took to the late night stage for a performance of "Centuries" and also gave a little insight into the track in a behind-the-scenes video.
