It's kind of safe to say that "Fifty Shades of Grey" has surpassed the financial hopes of everyone involved with the making of the film. It has made $150 million domestically and another $280 million internationally, making it a runaway success and solidifying those two sequels. We know that actually bringing them to life may not be an easy task because there is so much discord behind the scenes and now it sounds like there's a potentially huge problem brewing. Jamie Dornan, Mr. Christian Grey himself, may not be willing to return to the franchise. -
Dakota Johnson Wants Melanie Griffith to See 'Fifty Shades of Grey'
When Dakota Johnson and Melanie Griffith walked the red carpet at the Oscars together last night, Feb. 22, it was no doubt one of the most special shared moments between the mother and daughter. Johnson has been absolutely everywhere over the last few weeks, thanks to her part in a little film called 'Fifty Shades of Grey,' and she has been praised as one of the high points of the film because of her portrayal of ingenue Anastasia Steele. Griffith has talked about how proud she is of her daughter, but also expressed no desire in seeing the BDSM film, until now. -
'Fifty Shades of Grey' Will Finish This Week in Top Spot Despite Financial Decline
Fifty Shades of Grey is still kicking some serious butt at the box office in its' second week of release. While the film did face some real drop off with ticket sales being down 70% over last week, the film is still easily going to land in the top spot this week. After grossing $102.7 million last week it still looks like it will take in at least another $25 million. -

Drake Shocks 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Soundtrack, Tops Billboard 200 with Surprise 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late'
Everyone expected the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack to run away with this week's Billboard 200 chart...but then Drake happened. The emcee and his LP/mixtape If You're Reading This It's Too Late topped the list by moving 575,000 equivalent albums. The new metric for the chart, which takes streams into consideration, played to his favor as the album received more first-week streams than any other album in Spotify history. Among the other accomplishments that Drake managed to nab with his surprise album was becoming just the second hip-hop act to land his first four albums atop the Billboard 200 (the other is DMX). He quickly became the second bestselling performer for 2015 (behind Taylor Swift). -
'Fifty Shades of Grey' May Be a Success But Sam Taylor Johnson Still Wants Out of Franchise
Fifty Shades of Grey may have made an absolute killing at the box office in its' opening weekend, but that doesn't mean that everyone connected to the franchise is happy. Sam Taylor Johnson was given the tedious task of directing this film and making sure that it was an actual love story of sorts rather than just one S&M scene after another. We have heard for months that her clashes with Fifty Shades author, E.L. James were pretty epic and now it seems that Johnson desperately wants "out" of having to direct the two sequels that have already been planned. -
'Fifty Shades of Grey' on Track to Make $81.7 Million, Breaking Box-Office Record for Presidents Day Weekend
It seems that the curiosity over whether or not the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey" would live up to the book series has amounted to box office success as E.L James's first installment of the series has had the biggest Presidents Day weekend opening in history. Thanks to Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson breathing life into the characters of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, the film has raked in almost $81.7 million since last Friday, Feb. 13. -
'Fifty Shades of Grey' Opening to Lukewarm Reviews
Tomorrow, Feb. 13, "Fifty Shades of Grey" will open in theaters nationwide, and if the plethora of reviews rolling in are any indication, there are going to be a lot of disappointed fans. We already know that in order to snag that R rating the BDSM scenes detailed in the book were going to have to be completely watered down. That means that in order for fans to leave the theater feeling satisfied, the chemistry and connection between Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, who portray Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, better be dead on. Unfortunately, according to all the early lukewarm reviews, it is not there. -
Junk Mail: 'FIfty Shades of Grey' Soundtrack Featuring Beyoncé, Sia, Ellie Goulding, The Weeknd & More
It's our first soundtrack for Junk Mail, and is there any better initiation than Fifty Shades of Grey? I feel like a critical virgin, just waiting for the goddess within to blossom with some major musical whippings. And even though Christian Grey may come at Anastasia Steele hard in this book/movie, the music is really tender and loving. There's also a definite sonic theme. Oh, and Beyonce. The FIfty Shades of Grey OST has Bey. -
Melanie Griffith Will Not Be Seeing Her Daughter Dakota Johnson in 'Fifty Shades of Grey'
Finally, after what seems like an eternity of build-up, "Fifty Shades of Grey" is set to premiere in theaters this week. You know what that means, right? Tons of press and publicity for Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, who star as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation, as if the year or so leading up to it has not had enough already. While women everywhere might be planning to high-tail it to theaters this weekend, there is one person who will not be seeing this film ever. That would be Melanie Griffith, Johnson's mother. -
Confirmed: There Will Be Two More 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movies!
Fifty Shades of Grey better live up to all of the hype because just yesterday it was announced that two sequels, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed are officially getting their own film adaptations based on the book series by E.L. James. Sam Taylor-Johnson, the director of Fifty announced the news to a bunch of fans that had gathered at New York City's Ziegfeld Theater on Friday morning for a screening that included appearances by Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson. -
