A whole generation was raised watching Marc Summers guide young contestants through physical challenges and the green slime on Nickelodeon's "Double Dare" from 1986-92. He has built a career in the television game show industry, but there have been some serious bumps in the road. Summers has talked about the fact that he has OCD for years, and once he got himself under control then Summers decided to use his position in the public eye to help educate others. In 1997, Summers went public on "Oprah," but unfortunately not everyone was ready to be supportive. In fact, in a recent interview for "Oprah: Where Are They Now?," Summers admits that being honest about his OCD actually cost him work. -
'The Young & the Restless' Hopes That Charles Pratt Jr. Can Balance Out the Devastation Caused by Showrunner Jill Farren Phelps
It has been rumored for months now that Charles "Chuck" Pratt Jr. had taken over the head writing duties on "The Young & the Restless," but there was no official confirmation until yesterday, when the show tweeted the news. Pratt is also now taking on the role of executive co-producer, which means he will be working closely with showrunner Jill Farren Phelps. The two have teamed up in the past on other daytime shows, such as "General Hospital" and "Santa Barbara," and while Phelps is technically still in charge, fans are hoping Pratt will balance out some of her harsh decisions. In the last year, "Y&R" has been hit with a boatload of controversy, making what was brewing behind the scenes a whole lot worse than anything they could have written for the fictional town of Genoa City. Phelps came to the show with the reputation of being a "soap killer" and it is more than a little interesting how, more often than not, after she leaves a show it ends up being canceled within a year or two. Phelps has an edgy kind of storytelling that often ignores the history of the characters on whatever show she is connected to, and that never sits well with longtime fans. -
'Love & Hip Hop Atlanta's' Joseline Hernandez Wanted by Police For Bloody Beat Down Of Althea Eaton at Reunion Taping
The producers of "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" may have decided to unfairly fire Benzino and Althea Eaton after a bloody brawl broke out during last summers reunion show, but law enforcement saw things much differently. Eaton filed a police report in NYC after being punched in the face by Joseline Hernandez, the cast member that nearly everyone has pegged as the instigator, and investigators agreed. -
'Love & Hip Hop Atlanta's' Benzino and Althea Eaton Have Been Fired Instead of the Mega-Violent Joseline Hernandez
Apparently the producers of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta are siding with the couple whose dysfunction and drama brings the viewers because just this afternoon both Benzino and his love, Althea Eaton were fired. This undoubtedly stems from the smack down that occurred on the recent reunion show between these two and Stevie J with his kinda sorta wife, Joseline Hernandez. One minute everyone was seated and the next, Hernandez was charging the stage at Eaton and it was downhill from there. -
David Gregory's Salary Demands Cost Him a Position at CNN, but He Will Co-Host an Election Day Special on 'Yahoo! News' Beside Katie Couric
David Gregory can't seem to catch a break or land a great job. After spending years at NBC, the newsman was let go late last summer after being blamed for "Meet the Press's" dismal Sunday morning ratings — not that the network did not try to figure out why, after years, people still were not embracing Gregory as host of the paneled show. It was rumored he and his wife — at the network's request — even met with therapists in an attempt to figure out what character flaw made him seemingly so unlikable. Once the writing was on the wall, it was rumored Gregory would likely land at CNN, but now we are hearing that that deal fell through. Salary demands could not be met, and the anchor will co-host an Election Day special on "Yahoo! News" with Katie Couric. -

NBC's Dr. Nancy Snyderman Facing Credibility Issues, May Lose Job After Violating Ebola Self-Quarantine
Nancy Snyderman's mandatory Ebola quarantine is set to end early this week, but her problems may just be beginning. NBC's chief medical editor was with ABC before hopping over to NBC in 2006, and over the years she had become a trusted voice in educating the public about a variety of medical topics. She and her crew were in Liberia reporting on the Ebola crisis when a cameraman, Ashoko Mukpo, contracted the virus. In response to his diagnosis, Snyderman told viewers she and the rest of her team were returning to the States and would voluntarily quarantine themselves. A week later, they were spotted getting take-out food in New Jersey, a decision that led to a mandatory quarantine and backlash from the general public. -
After Latest Scandal, Is Matt Lauer the Most Disliked News Anchor in the US?
Every few years it seems Matt Lauer gets hit with some really harsh criticism as well as questions regarding his true character. The "Today" show anchor was at one point a beloved member of America's top morning news team, but his personal currency has dropped in recent years. Just this past week details in his marriage became public knowledge and once again it is making the newsman look bad. Back in 2006, Lauer's wife Annette Roque filed for divorce and claimed in the official documents to be suffering "cruel and inhumane" treatment at the hands of her husband. The divorce petition was unsealed this week, leaving Lauer wide open for public scrutiny again. Does this scandal make him the most disliked anchor in the U.S.? -
CNN Cancels 'Crossfire', Cuts 300 Jobs, Then Offers Counseling To Former Staffers
CNN announced that it will cut 300 jobs on Wednesday and it also confirmed ongoing speculation about the future of several under-performing shows. With Jeff Zucker in charge, the news network decided to revive the long-running show Crossfire in an updated format. Unfortunately Newt Gingrich, Stephanie Cutter, S.E. Cupp and Van Jones never equaled ratings magic. The show was on hiatus for several weeks when CNN focused nonstop attention on missing flight MH370 and when it returned in July it remained the lowest rated show on any news network. Needless to say, Crossfire has been canceled as well as a few other specialty shows. -

Houston News Radio Station Converts To All Beyoncé Format To Become B92 FM
Beyoncé is obviously the reigning queen of pop music, but does she deserve her very own radio station? Well 92.1FM in Houston certainly seems to think so. After spending the last few years struggling to win over listeners with a news radio format they have decided to become B92 FM with the catch phrase, All Beyoncé, All The time. According to station execs 47 journalists were fired in the format change and it was a move dictated by poor Nielsen/Arbitron ratings. -

She has said that reailty TV has ruined her marriage, but plans to work things out with her husband on another such show. If you are a Drescher fan, then you will be thrilled to hear that she has signed on to do the upcoming season of "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars."
