Belle & Sebastian's upcoming studio album, 'Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance.' is set for release next week and in support of the album, the band has extended their world tour with a new string of North American tour dates for the spring. According to reports, the first North American leg of the tour kicks off on March 30 in Boston and finishes up in on April 18 with the band's second appearance at Coachella 2015, while the second leg kicks off on June 9 in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and finishes up on June 18 in Kansas City. Singer-songwriter Perfume Genius will be opening for six dates, while New Jersey indie rock band Real Estate will be opening on two dates. -

Scottish indie pop legends Belle & Sebastian have shared another track from their upcoming album Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, titled "The Cat with the Cream," which you can check out below. Though the previous songs that have been shared so far from the album have been pretty upbeat and fun, "The Cat with the Cream" is far more dramatic and low-key, with a prominent string section and almost no percussion other than a steady kick drum. The lyrics are also more political than we're used to hearing from frontman Stuart Murdoch, with lines about Tories and the boom/bust nature of capitalist economies. -

Scottish indie pop outfit Belle & Sebastian have shared the music video for their latest single "Nobody's Empire," which you can check out below. The video, directed by Blair Young and frontman Stuart Murdoch, features footage from the cover photoshoot for the band's upcoming album Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, with model Tamzin Merchant lip-synching the lyrics, intercut with home movies submitted by fans and stock footage taken from the Scottish Screen Archive and the Prelinger Archives. -

A few weeks back, Scottish indie pop crew Belle & Sebastian shared their single "The Party Line," the first from their upcoming album Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, and today they've shared the song's music video, which you can check out below. The Leblanc + Cudmore-directed clip features choreography by Robert Binet and offers three different takes of a shy girl going out to a dance club with her friends, like a twee version of Run Lola Run. -
