Jeb Bush appeared on 'Meet The Press' to speak with Chuck Todd about his low poll numbers, what some (including Todd) called a less-than-victorious debate performance and the candidate's plans for the future of his campaign. The former governor seemed to have difficulty answering questions regarding a leaked memo that detailed candidate Marco Rubio's perceived weaknesses. Although, to be fair, Todd didn't give him much chance to answer in between interruptions. -

Wednesday's GOP debate was often contentious, acrimonious, redundant, and to put it in the words of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, "rude." Below is our recap of the issues covered in the debate. The GOP debate began with a question regarding the candidates' greatest perceived weakness. John Kasich took this opportunity to advocate against cuts to Social Security, Medicade, and ending "tax schemes." Mike Huckabee joked that he had no weakness, and then admitted to "playing by the rules" too often. Jeb Bush said he was impatient and can't fake anger, Donald Trump said he can be too trusting of people, Carly Fiorina "doesn't smile enough" and Chris Christie neglected to state a weakness. -
Stephen Colbert Sings "Everyday People" in All Star Jam on 'Late Show'
Stephen Colbert kicked things off right in his premier as host of 'The Late Show' as band leader Jon Batiste and Stay Human led an all-star cast consisting of blues and R&B legends Buddy Guy and Mavis Staples as well as newer acts including Alabama Shakes' frontwoman Brittany Howard, St. Paul and the Broken Bones frontman Paul Geneway, Ben Folds, Derek Trucks, Aloe Blacc, Kyle Resnick, Susan Tedeschi and Colbert himself, in a rendition of Sly and the Family Stone's "Everyday People" that set the tone for the shows to come. -
Music Times Matches Republican Debate Candidates (Trump et al) with Opening Acts
The Republican Debates will air tonight on FOX, and many will be tuning in to hear what Donald Trump will say...versus actually trying to educate themselves on who the best candidate for the right side of the aisle might be. Music Times doesn't write too much about politics but we know something, duh, about music, so we've come up with an act or musician to accompany all ten of tonight's candidates.
