• Former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic covers Lorde's 'Royals' on accordion [WATCH]

    Everyone from Selena Gomez to Bruce Springsteen has performed a cover of Lorde's hit "Royals," which recently surpassed one million copies in sales. Now an unexpected cover from Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic has surfaced, this time on the accordion. He and a small ensemble kept with the minimalist beat and drew out the melody with help from the accordion.

Best Rock Song went to the super group, unofficially dubbed "Sirvana," made up of Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear for their song "Cut Me Some Slack." Imagine Dragons represented the new guard with its Best Rock Performance win, and Vampire Weekend picked up Best Alternative Album for Modern Vampires of the City.

    An awesome piece of memorabilia has been put on Tumblr by the folks at Seattle music label Sub Pop. The piece of paper seems to be the original contract signed by Nirvana when it joined the label in 1988 (the contract was signed in '88, the actual term began in 1989).

    Paul McCartney is a huge draw on tour, and he still loves to do it. The former Beatles bassist recently did some recording in Seattle, where he invited former Nirvana members Dave Grohl, Krist Novolesic and touring guitarist Pat Smear onstage to rock out. McCartney did an interview with Rolling Stone where he discussed how much he still enjoyed playing old Beatles tracks, even the lesser known ones.
