• Biggest Contracts in Music History: Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Michael Jackson and More

Stevie Wonder struck it rich 40 years ago on this day when he signed what was, at that point in history, the most lucrative music contract ever: $13 million for seven years and seven albums for Motown/Tamla Records. Granted, things have gotten bigger in the four decades since—both in terms of payouts and inflation rates. Here are the five biggest contracts signed in music history, not adjusted for inflation. Understand that many of these deals won't ever be surpassed due to the increasingly smaller likelihood that a performer or band will sign for such lengthy periods. Jay Z, Lil Wayne and more cash in.
  • Birdman Guarantees Young Thug & Lil Wayne Collab, Denies Any Beef

We've already seen Birdman make some bold claims in his extensive interview with Angie Martinez. In part two of the interview, the Cash Money CEO is adamant there is no beef between Young Thug (his "nephew") and Lil Wayne (his "son"). He even so far as to say he guarantees they will make music together.
  • David Banner Suing Lil Wayne & Cash Money Over Unpaid Royalties

For months people have come out the wood works filing lawsuits against Cash Money Records such as Jas Prince, Turk, and of course Young Money front runner Lil Wayne. • Birdman Calls Lil Wayne Son, Says Nicki & Drake Aren't Leaving in Angie Martinez Preview

While the feud between Meek Mill and Drake has dominated headlines over the past week, the battle between Birdman and Lil Wayne has become one of the biggest stories in hip-hop over the past year. We have heard a lot from Lil Wayne on the matter, but Birdman has kept largely silent, especially recently since the issue has gone to court. Birdman is now opening up in a special interview with Power 105.1's Angie Martinez who was able to spend time with the Cash Money don at his Miami mansion and dive deep into the issue. The interview won't be aired until 4 p.m. today, but a preview has been put online.
  • Albums Sequels That Worked: Led Zeppelin, Lil Wayne, Future and More

The average blockbuster is hardly an original concept...everybody knows that the big money lies in sequels, such as the newly announced follow-up to Jurassic World, or the seventh installment of the Fast & Furious series. Granted, most of the time these films rarely end up being better than the original franchise. Although Furious 7 bucks the trend (the films actually got progressively better thanks to more and more absurd stunts and car chases), many questioned the need for the reintroduction to the Jurassic Park universe, especially after the last two sequels fell flat with critics (then again...all three of the follow-ups to the classic original have been box office smashes...so we're all to blame). Albums often work the same way, but occasionally the later chapters outshine the originals, or at least match them. Here are six albums that were better than the preceding ones with similar titles.
  • Birdman Speaks on Attempted Murder of Lil Wayne with Young Thug

Birdman has finally spoken on the indictment that involves him and Young Thug in a plot to kill Lil Wayne. Police suspect that Jimmy Winfrey, who's currently in prison, acted on behalf of Birdman and Thug when he fired shots at Lil Wayne's tour bus at the end of April, but the Cash Money Records boss claims he had nothing to do with it.
