The members of Metallica haven't exactly been cashing in on their status of heavy metal royalty. A new book titled Into the Black claims that since 2010, the "Enter Sandman" group has most likely lost more money then its made. The authors cited the band's two Orion festivals and the 2013 movie Through the Never as reasons for Metallica's poor financial state. -

Metallica is planning to rebel slightly on Record Store Day with the reissue of its 1982 demo cassette tape No Life 'Til Leather. Three of the thrash metal tracks - "Jump in the Fire," "Seek & Destroy" and "Metal Militia" - made it to the group's 1983 full-length release while "The Mechanix" did not. The original cassette featured the original lineup of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Ron McGovney and Dave Mustaine. -

The Internet is at it again. A video surfaced recently that uses footage from the classic children's movie 'Mary Poppins' and syncs it up to some heavy metal. Best of all, the scene is of Poppins (Julie Andrews) and Bert (Dick Van Dyke) singing the movie's most famous song, "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." The mash-up is a little weird at first, but you get used to it by the end. -
Metallica's James Hetfield Talks About His Drug Addiction and How Music Helped Save His Life
James Hetfield lived the rock 'n' roll lifestyle for much of his career as the frontman for Metallica. His drug and alcohol addiction reached a boiling point right around the time the band was documenting the recording process for their eighth studio album, St. Anger. Some Kind of Monster, which hit theaters in 2004, showed a band at a crossroads, and Hetfield, in order to save himself and his career, entered into rehab. In a new interview, Hetfield credited music as what helped save his life.
