Moby Donating All Profits from Los Angeles Vegan Restaurant to Animal Welfare Charities
Moby, born Richard Melville Hall, has announced that he will be donating all profits from Little Pine, the vegan restaurant he recently opened in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Silver Lake, to animal welfare charities. Those organizations include People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), The Humane Society of the United States, Farm Sanctuary, Animal Legal Defense Fund and Sea Shepard among others, Billboard reports. -
Moby Opens Little Pine, New Vegan Restaurant in Los Angeles
The multi-talented music mogul Moby, aka Richard Melvill Hall, has opened a new vegan restaurant called Little Pine in Los Angeles. After mastering the art of fusing post-punk rock with electronic dance music production, winning a number of Grammy’s, selling over 20 million albums worldwide, and being lauded as one of the most important dance music figures of the 1990s by countless sources, the acclaimed DJ and passionate animal rights activist is now channeling some of his creative energy towards the goal of bringing the people of LA a Mediterranean-inspired vegan menu. The restaurant opened in an art deco building on Rowena Avenue in Silver Lake this week and as of now is open daily 7:30am to midnight. -

Mysteryland USA Set To Increase Size From 7,500 To 20,000 in 2015
After its debut this year at Bethel Woods, New York, Mysteryland USA will be getting be getting even bigger this year. According to a local paper, the Record Online, the festival was given the permits to expand the festival from 7,500 people to 20,000 people. The festival organizers, ID&T were given unanimous approval, something Electric Forest was not given, for its new site plan during a Tuesday planning board meeting with the town. -

Some big names including Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello, Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore, Moby, M.I.A. and PJ Harvey have signed a statement in support of whistleblower Edward Snowden's actions on WikiLeaks. The artists are encouraging people to donate to the Courage Foundation, which is funding Snowden's legal defense, and promoting the documentary "CitizenFour."Other celebrities trying to raise awareness for Snowden's legal case include Noam Chomsky, Vivienne Westwood, Russell Brand, Alfonso Cuarón, Susan Sarandon and Pamela Anderson. -
