Rock legends, Lynyrd Skynyrd, have toured heavily for the past five months, playing dates throughout Canada, the UK and the U.S, and their current string of dates will wrap up for the band on September 4 on the Alton riverfront according to The Teelgraph. The band is slotted to play noteworthy dates in August, including a stop at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, New York. Tickets for the band's remaining summer shows are on sale averaging just over $100. The current lineup features original band member Gary Rossington, joined by Johnny Van Zant, Rickey Medlocke, Mark "Sparky" Matejka, Michael Cartellone, Johnny Colt, Peter Keys, Dale Krantz Rossington and Carol Chase. -
'Lynyrd Skynyrd - One More for the Fans' Concert at Fox Theatre to Get Live CD, DVD Release
Lynyrd Skynyrd has almost been rocking on for 50 years, and now, the band's legacy will be celebrated by a tribute CD and DVD. Today (March 31), the Loud & Proud Records and Blackbird Presents announced that the November 2014 tribute concert One More for the Fans featuring classic rock covers from Alabama, Cheap Trick, Jason Isbell, O.A.R., Trace Adkins and more will be getting an official release. -
Randy Houser and "Operation Inspiration"
For the past three years, Eckrich's "Operation Inspiration" campaign has honored, thanked and supported military families through its partnership with Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit that provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of service members and wounded warriors. This past Saturday, Jackson Leflar and his family became a recipients of that inspiration through Randy Houser, who was performing at Hillsdale County Fair. -
