During a recent radio interview, the actress explained that though her success didn't happen overnight, she takes her career and the roles that she plays very seriously; and will turn down offers that only cast her as "the pretty one." She also added words of wisdom and advice for aspiring actors who have faced their share of rejection as did she in the beginning of her career. -
'Empire' Lee Daniels, Sean Penn Lawsuit: Madonna Domestic Abuse Past Resurfaces
Sean Penn has smacked 'Empire' creator, Lee Daniels, with a $10 million defamation lawsuit after some controversial comments were said during a recent interview with 'The Hollywood Reporter.' Daniels stated both his lead actor, Terrence howard, and Penn faced domestic violence allegations, but only one man's name was smeared in the mud, citing race as the cause. The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday (Sept. 22) in New York Supreme Court, where Pennad admitted he was falsely accused of domestic violence. -

Terrence Howard's hit television drama 'Empire' may not have been nominated for an Emmy, but the actor does have something else to celebrate. After an ongoing dispute with ex-wife Michelle Ghent over increased spousal support seemed like a never ending battle, the L.A. Superior Court judge has finally come to a decision, ruling in favor of the 46-year-old actor. However, the Superior Court judge had a few opinions of his own to add while making his decision, criticizing Howard's character by calling him a "bully." -
