Kygo has unveiled the music video for his new single "Stole The Show" featuring the vocals of New York City-based singer/songwriter Parson James. Written and directed by Saman Kesh, the video is set somewhere in the countryside where a Halloween party is happening at somebody's log cabin. The party is crashed by an alien in a space suit, who is spotted by the authorities and dub the situation a "code red." -

YouTube has launched a new resource simply titled YouTube for Artists that provides its musical content creators more data and resources to help use the video-sharing service. The new landing page provides artists with tools in areas on YouTube and off it. -

As if they didn't already get enough viral music attention, the 50 biggest stars on YouTube will now be getting another special honor later this month. Today (March 2), the YouTube announced its second annual YouTube Music Awards, celebrating the site's biggest acts, including Ariana Grande, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, One Direction, Taylor Swift and more. -
YouTube Music Awards disappoint in terms of viewers, peaking at 220,000 for Lady Gaga performance
If you follow music closely, you've already heard all about the YouTube Music Awards ceremony, whether it was Lady Gaga debuting the song "Dope" or Arcade Fire's Win Butler reenacting Kanye West to a bunch of Taylor Swift fans. But odds are you found out about it after the fact, thanks to a plurality of media coverage (ourselves included). When the final viewership was considered, it doesn't seem like the show did that well. -
YouTube Music Awards Recap
There's something raw and real about a YouTube video that you don't see on a music video traditionally fit for television. In line with this spirit, the YouTube Music Awards were not what you would expect to see on the real tube. Actor and musician Jason Schwartzman (Coconut Records) co-hosted with comedian and musician Reggie Watts. The hosting was pretty much completely unscripted. Winners included Eminem, Taylor Swift and Lindsey Stirling. Lady Gaga and Tyler the Creator performed. -

M.I.A., Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler, the Creator have been added to the lineup for the inaugural YouTube Music Awards along with Eminem, Lady Gaga, and Arcade Fire. The 90-minute show will air live from New York City's Pier 36 on Nov. 3.
