'Bring Sebastian Bach to Skid Row' Trends: Band Supporters Express Greatest Wish After Erik Grönwall's Exit

Skid Row has named its new member after Erik Grönwall announced his departure.

On Instagram, the rockers released a statement confirming the recent lineup changes-from Grönwall's exit to Lzzy Hale as the fill-in. This came after the singer's continuous health issues that affected the band's schedules since last year.

Erik Grönwall Exits Skid Row

According to Skid Row, Hale of Halestorm will perform the vocal duties for the band's upcoming shows after Grönwall's departure due to the potential effects of travels on his overall health and recovery.

"Skid Row is proud of what they have created and accomplished with Erik over the past two years and we wish nothing but the best to him and his health," the band continued. "To celebrate the last two years, the band will be releasing a live album that perfectly captures this moment of time in the band's 35+ year history, to be announced soon."

Meanwhile, Grönwall penned his statement to address his decision and his current health condition.

He looked back at the time he underwent treatment for his leukemia before touring with Skid Row, calling it "a dream come true."

"However, it proved challenging touring the world with an impaired immune system, which is a result of my bone marrow transplant. I respect and understand that Skid Row is a touring band but since I can't prioritize my health being in the band, I have decided that it's better for me to step aside," the now-former member continued.

He ended his statement by thanking everyone for accepting him as Skid Row's lead singer for years.

While Skid Row has since selected Hale to fill in, others wonder whether Sebastian Bach could rejoin the group or appear in a reunion.

One wrote on X, "So the lead singer of skid row had to step down, that being said, can Sebastian Bach be the front man again so I can finally enjoy a real skid row show?"

"Skid Row has had wayyy too many vocalists at this point. Just reunite with Sebastian Bach for a tour like the people want to see. He said he'd do it & he still sounds insane live. I've seen both live. Until they reunite, go see Sebastian solo if you haven't. He's unbelievable," another said.

Where Is Sebastian Bach Now?

Bach surprised fans when he performed at the Royal Caribbean's Mariner Of The Seas with other guests, including Ray Parker Jr. and Wang Chung. He notably joined Air Supply on stage and delivered an emotional performance of "All Out of Love."

In December 2023, Bach appeared in an interview on "Behind The Velvet Rope" podcast during which he was asked about his potential reunion with Skid Row.

"Well, I do think so, because I really think that the main reason that that hasn't happened is because of business. We haven't been in the same room since 1996. That's a fact. So I don't have anything against anybody from 1996. I don't even barely remember 1996.," he said, per Blabbermouth, adding, "So, I mean, the fact that we're all still alive, I would say, yes, I think if we can figure out the business side of it, then there's no reason why not to."
