The drama between rapper Jeezy and his estranged wife, Jeannie Mai, took another turn when new court documents revealed the alleged reason for the latter's scathing abuse allegations.
New court documents obtained by People claimed that Mai's accusations only came after Jeezy refused to have another child with his estranged wife.
Jeezy Refused to Have Another Child With Jeannie Mai
In a new filing from Jeezy's legal camp against Mai's allegations, they wrote that the accusations only came to light "because the Petitioner declined to have a second baby with her, and the Petitioner decided to file this divorce action."
Jeezy contacted a doctor in August 2023 to inform Mai that he would not participate in an in vitro fertilization method to conceive a child. The decision to pursue in vitro fertilization came after the couple failed to conceive a child naturally for over a year.
"If [he] were so violent as the Respondent claims, why would she want to have a second child with him? If the Petitioner were so irresponsible and created such an unsafe home environment for the parties' minor child, why would the Respondent desperately want to have a second baby with the Petitioner? The answer is because the Petitioner is not violent, and the Petitioner is not irresponsible," Jeezy's legal camp wrote in the filing.
In the obtained documents, Jeezy has accused Mai that she "introduced strife, physical and emotional abuse, and volatility into the parties' marriage."

Jeannie Mai Accused Jeezy of Domestic Abuse
Mai accused Jeezy of abusing her since 2002. She alleged that the rapper choked and pushed her down the stairs of the Ritz Carlton Hotel in San Francisco, California.
Apart from being physically abusive, Jeezy was also reportedly verbally abusive, as mentioned in Mai's filing. She also alleged the rapper of child neglect after she found one of their children, still a minor, holding Jeezy's bag that contained an AK-47 firearm.
Jeezy has denied the allegations, saying it's "false" and "deeply disturbing."
"This malicious attempt to tarnish my character and disrupt my family is ridiculous. It's disheartening to witness the manipulation and deceit at play and at this time my main concern is being an active father to our daughter as I continue to fight for court-mandated joint custody," he wrote on Instagram.
