Rapper Jeezy and television host Jeannie Mai have finalized their divorce papers, TMZ reported.

However, the divorce settlement was tightly sealed, so details about their separation remain unclear. The news came after Mai implored the presiding judge not to enforce their signed prenuptial agreement, invoking that she did not have ample time to review the document before their March 2021 wedding.

Notably, the finalization of Mai and Jeezy's divorce did not provide clear direction on who would acquire custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Monaco.

Jeezy filed for divorce in September 2023, arguing that Mai had been a "gatekeeper" between him and Monaco.

Legal documents revealed that Jeezy had a history of physically abusing his ex-wife, Mai, during their marriage.

In one instance in 2022, Jeezy allegedly choked Mai from behind and pushed her down the stairs at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in San Francisco. Similar incidents took place, with Jeezy being verbally abusive on some occasions.

The complaint also included Mai's concerns of child neglect when one of their children, still a minor, was found with Jeezy's bag that contained an AK-47 firearm.

In an Instagram post, Jeezy responded to Mai's allegations against him, describing it as "false" and "deeply disturbing," especially from someone he loved.

"This malicious attempt to tarnish my character and disrupt my family is ridiculous. It's disheartening to witness the manipulation and deceit at play and at this time my main concern is being an active father to our daughter as I continue to fight for court-mandated joint custody," Jeezy wrote.

Furthermore, Jeezy's legal camp argued that Mai's accusations only came after the rapper refused to have another child with his ex-wife.

Jeezy's legal camp wrote that the accusations only came to light "because the Petitioner [Mai] declined to have a second baby with her, and the Petitioner decided to file this divorce action."

Jeezy contacted a doctor in August 2023 to inform Mai that he would not use an in vitro fertilization method to conceive a child. The decision to pursue in vitro fertilization came after the couple failed to conceive a child naturally for over a year.

In the obtained documents, Jeezy has accused Mai of introducing "strife, physical and emotional abuse, and volatility into the parties' marriage."
