Mariah Carey has added some exclusive Australian dates to her Elusive Chanteuse Tour which is scheduled to kick off in Tokyo in October. She will play seven tour dates Down Under, touring both arenas and the songstress has also added a few winery dates to the mix as well.
On Nov. 2, Carey will hit Sandalford Estate in Perth, then moves on to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Rochford Wines in the Yarra Valley and wraps-up Nov. 16 at Sirromet Wines on Mt Cotton, south east of Brisbane.
This is the first time since 1998 that the singer has actually toured Australia from coast to coast since her Butterfly show. She did play three dates Down Under on the eastern coast back in January of 2013 but they weren't connected to a full tour. In recent weeks, the star has taken to her Twitter account to tease fans with photos from her rehearsals and she has made it quite clear that focusing her energy on work is doing her a world of good.
Over the past few months the details of Carey's marriage to Nick Cannon have been tabloid fodder with the media and fans alike speculating on the status of things. Nick has confirmed that the couple is separated at the very least so it seems that the timing of the Elusive Chanteuse Tour couldn't be better. Focusing on work seems to be the way that Carey copes with life and she is always at her best when performing regularly.
Are you surprised that Mariah Carey will be taking her show to Australian fans for the first time in 16 years? Or do you think that she purposely is throwing herself into work and the more dates that she plays, the better it will be for everyone?
