He appeared in court Saturday and was released on bail. According to police reports, 19-year-old Joey Bada$$ got into an altercation with a security guard and allegedly punched him in the face, leaving the man with a broken nose.Joey Bada$$, whose real name is Jo-Vaughn Jalani Virginie, was about to take the stage Friday, Jan. 2, at approximately 8:30 p.m. when he was approached by the security guard. The guard did not believe Virginie was who he said he was, then Bada$$ allegedly lashed out.According to a police spokesman, "A 20-year-old man was allegedly punched in the face by a man while working as a security guard at the festival. The man was treated for a broken nose and other facial injuries."
