Country star Tim McGraw deleted a recent tweet promoting his collaboration with Planet Fitness, a chain of members-only fitness centers, after receiving backlash from fans on social media due to controversy surrounding the gym and its policies toward inclusivity.

McGraw took to X Tuesday to announce his partnership with the facility: "Getting up and moving is such an important part of my day, so I partnered with @PlanetFitness to give my fans a chance to get moving with a special offer," he wrote, captioning a video post.

"For a limited time you can get your FIRST MONTH FREE at Planet Fitness when you use promo code 'MCGRAW.' And when you join online, consider supporting the Judgement Free Generation initiative to create a better tomorrow by donating to Boys and Girls Clubs of America," the caption continues.

In the video, McGraw said that he "wouldn't be able to stay consistent and fit without the support of my family, my friends and my community. We all need a support system to help keep us moving and that's where Planet Fitness comes in with things like free fitness training for all members that give you the support you need to start or continue your fitness journey."

This post has since been deleted after angry users swarmed his replies.

Planet Fitness came under fire online when a photo of a transgender woman, perceived by the camerawoman, Patricia Silva, to be a man, shaving her face in the women's locker room was shared online.

Silva was banned from Planet Fitness for breaking its policy against photographing gym members in locker rooms.

"As the home of the Judgement Free Zone, Planet Fitness is committed to creating an inclusive environment. Our gender identity non-discrimination policy states that members and guests may use the gym facilities that best align with their sincere, self-reported gender identity. The member who posted on social media violated our mobile device policy that prohibits taking photos of individuals in the locker room, which resulted in their membership being terminated," stated Planet Fitness in response to the incident.

Online, many had choice words for McGraw's choice to partner with Planet Fitness.

"Sorry Tim, but if you support men having access to women's dressing rooms and showers then I can't support you. (Planet Fitness Has Been 'Pretty Much Destroyed,' Says Company Founder Amid Speculation On Boycott Cancellations (https://yahoo.com)" posted @TexasParabellum, sharing a link to a Yahoo article detailing the company's financial losses in the wake of Silva's banning.

"Woke assholes! Will you do anything for a buck to team up with them !! Soooo disappointed in you @TheTimMcGraw," wrote another user.

Other Planet Fitness-related tweets still remain on McGraw's profile.

In a video from May 10, he announces that he's partnering with Planet Fitness to give away VIP ticket experiences to his Standing Room Only tour.

"These lucky winners will receive two tickets, a great VIP party, a chance to meet me before the show, some cool merch and more," said McGraw.

In order to enter to win, one must download the Planet Fitness app and complete one of McGraw's "signature" strength, endurance, core or high-intensity workout.

"Not only will you be entered to win, but your workout will make you feel as fired as I do before I go on stage...Good luck," he said.

Another post details that McGraw and Planet Fitness have teamed up to make exclusive merchandise for the Genuine McGraw Collection, from which all sales will be donated to Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
