Taylor Momsen, frontwoman of the Pretty Reckless, was bitten by a bat while performing on Friday in Seville, Spain.

During the track "Witches Burn," a bat landed on Momsen's upper thigh, clinging onto her dress. After Momsen shouted a kind "Gracias!" to the crowd, the attendees began to point and yell, trying to direct her attention to the bat.

"You guys are pointing at something, and I don't know what you're saying," she joked into the microphone. She then turned around, walked towards the back of the stage, noticed the bat on her leg and yelled, "Holy f--!"

She returned to the microphone cautiously, telling the crowd, "there's a f--ing flying bat on my leg right now. Could someone help me, please?" She made a squeaky "eek!" sound as her guitarist mouthed at her, "do not move."

"I must be a real witch," Momsen joked.

After a bit of assistance from the stage crew, the bat was removed from Momsen's dress.

"Gracias! It's alright, and the bat's fine," she said, "He's gonna be my new friend."

The singer then headed to the hospital, as the bat had bitten her. She was given rabies shots and will need to continue to receive them for the next two weeks in order to stave off the disease.

Momsen shared the experience online, posting a video to her X account:

"ROCK AND ROLL MOMENT...in Sevilla Wednesday during "Witches Burn" a BAT clung to my leg...in the moment I was performing and had no idea until the crowd kept screaming and pointing...yes he bit me...so rabies shots for the next two weeks. thanks the staff at the hospital who dubbed me #batgirl after seeing it on the local news...@acdc #pwrup #BATGIRL," she wrote.

Fans online took the moment partially in jest, seeing it as a "true" rock 'n' roll "moment," but offered Momsen their well wishes.

"What a great Rock & Roll Moment: the song, the bat, your reaction, memorable tour for sure! Hope you're fine!" wrote one user.

"That's a bat signal. It must mean that you are going to lead this generation of rock & roll. I hope you are better now," replied one another.

One fan joked about Ozzy Osbourne's infamous bat-biting incident: "The bat was like 'my great great grandfather had his head bitten off by someone playing music like that! At last, I shall have Revenge!'"

The Pretty Reckless are supporting AC/DC on the European leg of their POWER UP Tour, which continues until mid-August.
