Gucci Mane shared the sad news of the death of his ex-protege, the rapper Enchanting, who was only 26 years old.

Enchanting, whose birth name is Channing Nicole Larry, had previously been under Gucci's 1017 Records label.

He said in a statement on Instagram, "So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant @luvenchanting."

Despite being a heartfelt gesture, the comment section was flooded by fans engaging in disrespectful debates.

The focus of their arguments revolved around the recurring pattern of artists signed by Gucci meeting unfortunate fates such as death or incarceration.

Over the past few years, several artists from 1017 Records, both current and former, have encountered legal troubles and found themselves incarcerated.

One person commented, "give em a better life ? half of em locked up or deceased."

A second person said, "Even if they have nothing to do with it it's not a secret ALL the labels cash them life insurance policies out & they prey on high risk artist who are currently doing drugs , drill & gang activity."

However, Keyshia Ka'oir, Gucci's wife, quickly addressed the inappropriate comments from fans that she found distasteful.

According to The Shade Room, she responded assertively to these disrespectful remarks in a comment where she did not mince her words.

"Leave my husband alone! He signs these artist to help them & give them a better life! I wish it wasn't like this! Chant we love you baby girl! RIH"

In just a short period, the remark has garnered thousands of likes, demonstrating widespread approval among fans.

One commenter said, "Yall blaming gucci cause people have drug addiction is out of control."

A second said, "I agree, you cannot blame the owner of the label for an individual's actions or decisions. Can you blame your employer for your decisions?"

A third wrote, "Her passing away from an Overdose has nothing to do with Gucci. She right, pay y'all respect and move on. The gucci slander isn't needed."

On Tuesday, June 11 morning, Enchanting's sister shared that she had been admitted to the intensive care unit. Subsequently, she provided an update confirming the rapper's death.

Having joined Gucci Mane's label in 2020, Enchanting's musical journey took an unexpected turn. Despite reportedly still being affiliated with 1017 in early 2024, her latest offering under the label was the enhanced edition of her 2022 album No Luv, aptly named Luv Scarred/ No Luv (Deluxe), released in February 2023, as per The Daily Mail.
